After 29 years of coming to Thailand and seeing many many Wats this one took me by surprise as I’d never heard of it before, not on TA and I was just scouring google maps for something to do.It is very easy to get to, though a long MRT journey from Sukhumvit to Bang Khae which you can do without changing trains now for around 42 baht and then a short 1km walk. You can even go through the big food market on the way.The Wat itself is beautiful and on a big site, one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. There were 2 ceremonies going on when I was there with monks chanting etc. There is a river market next to it which I was too late for.Easy to spend a long time there and free to go in.
