The city of Nakhon Si Thammarat is a “TRUE TREASURE” considerably l off the “well beaten” tourist map!! In addition to the substantial military presence, there are many Buddhist temples. But this Chedi is surprisingly large and draws attention to the skills of the ancient architectural and engineering skills developed!! Well worth a visit!!
A huge Chedi right in the heart of Nakhon Si Thammarat. However, there is nothing much apart from the Chedi and if you’re driving through you might just missed it as it is offset quite a distance from the road.Anyway, Nakhon Si Thammarat is not too big nor busy – and getting a snapshot of this Giant Chedi is easy. However, the Giant Chedi has a pretty nice story to it .. on how God miraculously helps the human to out-build the Chedi against a Giant.
During Songkran 2023, my family and I traveled from Songkhla to return home to Rayong. On the way, we stopped to sleep in the city center. And it was the first time coming to this city. That night we drove around looking for food. On the way when driving past this place His wife heard a woman’s voice say, Nice to meet you. (It’s like he’s waiting. My wife’s family of origin is also from Nakhon Si Thammarat. At that time, we didn’t know where it was. Because it was the first time But he turned to look at the left side. Saw a tall white pagoda. But I didn’t stop. We drove to find food. then enter the hotel In the morning we checked out of the hotel and headed back to Rayong. But my wife prayed in her heart that if she sold the house and got the money, she would come back again.Until October 2023, we sold the house and received money. So I drove with the intent to find this temple in particular. At first, I drove around 2-3 times and couldn’t see. So I prayed that we would be able to find this pagoda as well. I drove back to the same route again. And before reaching the pagoda, his wife would have a hard time in her knees. The closer we get, the more severe the symptoms become. Until now, we can see the pagoda in its entirety. There is also a large Buddha image in front. (Before this, I didn’t notice that there was I only saw a pagoda) so I parked my car and went to have a look. So we knew it was a giant pagoda. So I opened Google to search for history. Then we bought a garland to pay homage to the Buddha. Then his wife touched the base of the pagoda. A voice came out that there were dancers locked in this pagoda. But I can only communicate like this. You must rely on your regular fortune teller to help communicate that. What relationship does my wife have with this pagoda?
