Wat Nak Watchara Sophon is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Rachadumnoen 2 Road Sa Kaeo, 62000, Thailand
Nella parte di parco più vicina al centro abitato si trova, nella grande foresta, questo tempio non di grandi dimensioni ma assolutamente composito, con tutti gli “ingredienti” caratterizzanti un luogo sacro di Kamphaeng Phet. La campana, il fregio con gli eleganti, la statua del Buddha, qui vestito di giallo e intonacato bianco, le colonne del vialetto di accesso. Il tutto in una zona piuttosto decentrata di un parco archeologico ove i turisti sono mosche bianche….Da sostarci nella visita.
Kamphaeng Phet ist zu Unrecht keine Touristenmetropole. Doch wer hier her findet, besucht den Historical Park und sollte sich dann noch kurz Zeit nehmen für das schöne Wat Nak. Neben sauberen Tempelhallen glänzt das Wat durch eine schattige Baumallee mit Beschriftungen( leider nur in Thai) mit den Namen der Bäume. Überall wird die Verehrung der Elephanten sichtbar. Erst recht am äußeren nördlichen Ende des Tempels mit einer wunderschönen alten Chedi, getragen von Elephanten!
