  1. First went here about 8 years ago and it was still near Lumphini park. It was a very vibrant place with a lot of stores selling assorted merchandise, a covered area where food stalls abound and a band entertaining the diners. Now it is a building with a hotel within. Sadly, it is but a former shell of itself, with very few stalls open. Not much to see in this night market at this time. Modernizing in this case did not translate to anything better. hope it can rediscover its old charm and be a go-to night market in Bangkok again.

  2. I used to love suan lun night bazaar ALOT. Looking at the new place, really did not do justice for the sellers. Pitiful and souless. And i feel bad for writing this review, but at least, i hope the management will make some effort for the tenants.

  3. So many of the shops are closed.I actually feel sorry for those that are still open because they cannot do much business. Many prices are in Yen which reflects the majority of the clientele that I saw. Some were wandering around peering into the empty shops looking as bewildered as I felt.A truly pointless visit and waste of time.

  4. Not worth visiting and very disappointing. Opening hrs start at 5pm. Alot of small shops inside a building adjoining Hotel Bazaar like MBK Center but nothing interesting like MBK. Very quiet and no crowd. Upon exiting Lat Phrao Exit 1, turn right and walk straight till small road turn left towards Hotel Bazaar and continue walk straight till almost the end. Suan Lum Night Bazaar is now in the building on the left.

  5. Many stalls were empty and there wasn’t many people there. Not worth the time there. If you really want to visit this Bazaar, there is a Japanese restaurant over there that was packed when I was there. Their food were quite cheap but I didn’t try them.

  6. Don’t waste your time coming to this night market. There is nothing much to see, it is attached to a hotel. But other than that, it’s below average. Visit Rot Fai Night Market behind Esplanade Mall instead.

  7. Stumbled upon this night market by chance. Not worth to spend any time there. Small and dirty. There is a far better one supposedly at china town which we will visit today

  8. There are a few shops attached to a hotel. No outdoor stalls and no “market” to speak of. The dinosaurs are nice, but not worth a trip just to see them.

  9. Honestly it has some quaint points, but if you are looking for a great market, skip this and go to Chatuchak! We went there on our last night in Bangkok. I am giving it three stars for what it could be, but the night we were there, most of the stalls were already closing. It is a little confusing because there are basically three sections there. When you get dropped off if taking a cab, all you see are food stalls and some brick and mortar stalls. Way behind there, was a beautiful tent-city of stalls. We got there at about 9:30 on a Thursday and already most of the stalls were closing and packing up. Even further behind, were more brick and mortar shops with a 1950s theme. Some beautiful old gas pumps and vintage cars were parked around. Here are mostly antique shops, vintage clothing stores and boutiques, which we found really high priced. Maybe go on a Friday or Saturday instead for the best selection.

  10. I just recently moved to Bangkok and had to find a place to stay in the area… I was pleased to see there was this supposed to be night market just nearby….. Well even tonight I went find out where is this bloody market? It’s like just a simple road with shop, nothing alike other market in Bangkok… I’m pretty sad as know I’m realizing I will have tough time to find food in the area..
