Whoever designed this one was either incompetent or really impractical!Worst mall design ever.And the parking is usually full as there is a passport office there too.So…an utter mess! Restaurants regularly go bust and most are mediocre chains. Wouldn’t repeat any that I tried.
Want your Thai passport renewed? Go there!Want food or shopping? Best forget it! Parking is always full and restaurants go bust all the time …..never found an even half good one.
Just read in the bangkok post -“But the cut-up Crime of the Century was in 2001 when the physician Wisut Boonkasemsanti killed his wife (also a doctor) and surgically made her body into pieces tiny enough to flush down toilets in a Chulalongkorn University dormitory and, when that toilet started to clog, a second toilet at the Sofitel Central Hotel in Lat Phrao. Wisut was sentenced to life in prison in 2003 but being a model prisoner was released three years ago after just 10 years and seven months.The following story, widely believed in the eastern Bangkok suburbs, might be true.Wisut, being a doctor, had a stash of money when he got out of prison and was the chief investor in Thanya Park, a mall on Srinakarin Road. Just as Wisut was released from prison, the Foreign Ministry moved its local passport office from Central Bangna into Thanya Park. You can’t get better promotion than having a passport office.Yet, if you need a place to shoot a cannon down a corridor at noon, this is the place. Apart from that passport office, it’s a notable day when Thanya Park gets three dozen visitors.It’s well lit and has good access. But this prime example of a bad-luck, no-business mall is as quiet as a tomb because no one wants to go to a property owned by the butcher at the centre of the Crime of the Century.”
Unless you are Thai and need to get or renew a Thai passport, give this place a miss.Without the passport office this place would have been abandoned a long time ago. As it stands it’s mostly empty Evening the ground floor over half the shops are closed/empty.It’s a massive space with very illogical confusing layout. I will probably never come here again until the Mrs needs another passport renewal.
Most businesses there fail and close…only a few survivors and the passport office.Terrible confusing design and no signage or help desk.Give it a miss!
Half empty mall with plenty of vacant space, not too much to do here, some local brands mainly, food selection is limited to chain restaurants. Locals come here to apply for passport or do administrative stuff if running business, place definitely to miss for most of foreigners, unless doing grocery at Tops supermarket.
