  1. This is a small nice temple, with some beautiful relief still recognisable. The location in almost hidden behind a modern wat of the same name, a local cemetery, and a strange recycling facility which looks like a postmodern installation.

  2. Situated outside the eastern city wall along Charot Withi Thong Road is Wat Tra Phang Thong Lang, the mandapa made of brick was built to enshrine a Buddha image of vast size, occupying the entire space of the mandapa., sadly the Buddha image is now in ruins. A porch was built on the eastern wall of the mandapa, stucco reliefs depict the story of Lord Buddha on the other three walls, sadly the stucco relief is in a very bad condition

  3. I only saw this old Wat by accident. I was riding my bicycle back to Sukhothai after visiting the Historical Park when I just happened to see an old sign off to the right and a dirt road. Kind of hard to resist, but far too easy to ride on by. The modern Wat is nothing, but the strange rectangular old Wat back on the field truly invokes the mystery and romance of this area.

  4. It is not far from old city market. you will go through small street and grass. On the wall, it is story about buddhist story.

  5. The temple is located outside the historical path and is off the beaten path. The best way to visit the temple is to take a guided tour from one of the locals. It is a small temple with an assembly hall in front of a Mandapa. Only the base and pillars of the assembly hall remain. The square Mandapa however is well preserved and some of the stucco decorations on its walls can still be seen. The Mandapa has high walls and a narrow entrance. The Buddha statue inside however is gone. The temple is a great example of historical Sukhothai architecture and is worth a visit.

  6. This temple is inside a small lane off the main road. Apparently there is very less visitors and the place seems has less maintenance too. There are many dogs around and there is a rubbish dump next door, therefore the air is quite polluted.

  7. The Stupa is old but the other parts of the temple are newer. Still in active use as a place of worship unlike the others in the Sukothai historical zone
