  1. Good place to visit if you are interested in history. But nothing much to see honestly, just an ordinary house with good landscape. Is fine to complete your Hanoi tour.

  2. Close to town, free, worth a visit and informative ladies giving a talk on Ho Chi Minhs life after WW2, befire going back to VN.

  3. I didn’t know the Uncle Ho had spent around three years in this modest safe house in the quiet village on Ban na Chok outside Nakhon Phanom. Apparently the village had been settled by Vietnamese immigrants for some 200 years. Paradoxically the area was central to US forces in the American efforts to defeat the Viet Cong during the Viet Nam war – the Thais fearing that Viet Nam was aiming to to destabilise the country.

  4. If you are interested in history, this was perfect. house and garden very nicely arranged. Small sale with tea and souvenirs. Free but you could make a donation.

  5. This is the actual place where Ho Chi Minh took refuge and secretly hid in Nakhon Phanom between 1924-1931 while plotting revolution against France for regain independence of his beloved country. Now owned by grandchildren of the folks who owned the property at the time, the small and humble one-storey wooden house is an old-style garden home with the tools and utensils used by Ho Chi Min in his daily life are exhibited inside. There are also trees planted by Uncle Ho himself, such as star fruit and coconut, as well as an ancient barn. There is no entrance fee. However, you can support the place by buying some souvenirs.

  6. We visited the Ho Chi Minh House as many years ago we were already traveling through Vietnam and interested in history. Ho Chi Minh has spent several years of his life in this house. The complex is beautifully designed with the old house as a small museum. The garden is wonderful, the staff in the attached souvenir shop is very friendly.
