  1. The days of the great teak forests are past. But here stands one last great teak tree. May it stand long and proposer and live to see the return of the teak forests.

  2. With a circumference of almost 10 metres, Uttaradit province hosts the largest teak tree in the world. It is estimated to be 1,500 years old. Sadly a storm hit the plant and reduced its original height, nevertheless it survived. It takes about an hour to get there from Uttaradit.

  3. The sign at the entrance to the park says that it has the “Biggest Teak Tree of the World” and is believed to be about 1,500 years old. The tree is also supposed to be 37 metres high but the top part has broken off so I am not sure whether this is the current or previous height. Regardless, it is an imposing tree that reminds us humans how puny we are.

  4. The national park is abundant with trees. Highlight of this place is certainly a more than 1000 year old giant teak tree. With 38.5 metres in height (its previous height before the storm broke its top part in 1977 was 47.8 m) and 10.2 metres in circumference, it is considered the largest teak tree in the world. There is a wooden bridge that surround the tree. Visitor is not allowed to go beyond the bridge to prevent the tree.Nice place to relax and get a fresh air.
