When you are in Bangkok you must visit these stores. One big street with a lot of department stores. Some have great floors with local designers.
This is a department stall with lots of local and overseas merchandise and houseware . It is worth to take a look and compared prices of local merchandise with those tourist stores. There are a variety of good quality but price is but premium.
It’s a massive department store (8 floors). On the 8th floor you have a sale/promotion section which worth a visit. If it’s your first time there, on your first purchase, apply to the 1Club membership rewards to get 10% (or more) off any purchase. We found amazing kitchenware appliance in amazing prices. Great service and great range of products.
there are some really cool original stores, i find the set up a bit confusing and honestly i enjoyed more the airco than shopping.it is a bit repetitive and not helping the fact isn’t very clear where ZEN finish and the next mall start, leading to a bit confusion if you try to orientate

ZEN Department Store is located in Central World. It’s sells everything that you can possibly be looking for from fashion and apparel to beauty and makeup, homeware plus a food court. It is a megastore that consists of seven levels.ZEN carries many name brands plus local brands and there seems to be a sale happening every time that I have been there. It is conveniently located close to the BTS Skytrain stations. Either the Chit Lom or Siam BTS station is within walking distance to ZEN.
Using the elevated walkways above heavy, polluting traffic makes you easily dissoriented when moving from one mall to another. Zen is connected both to smaller Isetan and bigger Central World around the corner. This is a typical middle range department store with home decoration, clothes and a large shoe gallery.
I visited Zen department store on 18/3 to look for female swimming wear. While the staff members were nice, only very few of them could communicate in English effectively. Moreover, the counters for some brands were quite far away from the fitting rooms and there were no bells or other means for me (customers) to reach staff members for help in the fitting rooms. Moreover, no staff members had come to the fitting rooms checking with me about the size of the items that I tried. Disappointedly, I went back and forth between the fitting rooms and the sales counters several time to change the size of the swimming items. I think the staff members can be more helpful if they can actively check with the customers who are on the fitting rooms trying different items.
Just take case of your family when you visit ZEN, they treat senior people very badly, but when someone was with the senior,the attitude could be completely different. Just make sure your senior family member is not shopping alone there, they scream at my mother when I walked out just a short distance away.
Have to say, this is one of those department stores which try a bit harder. Yes, you have the usual Brands, but there are actually several quite funky brands of clothings u don’t see anywhere else. I think because of P&L, sad to say, just 2 or 3 of these labels.But what is really exciting is the food loft on the 7th floor. Michelin star street food, served in aircon environment, with table service, plus they serve alcoholic cocktails and wine! How cool is that? Bonus treat, they even have a live band to serenade guests with familiar oldies! The papaya salad and fried chicken, from same stall, really to die for. Must try! The pork skewers and braised trotters, from different stalls, as well! So Yummy! I will skip the wanton noodles, quite bad actually. We came back next day before our flight back home. That’s how entertaining this place is!
