  1. Amazing place to visit have been 3 times now and is a must see when i come to Udon! Takes about 2 hours by car and i usually stay the night near Mekong River and kill 2 birds with 1 stone when i do visit! The temple has picturesque views and the temple which is up in the mountains is a hidden treasure.

  2. I made a detour to udon Thani area for the Wat Pa Phu Kon.Have to say it is a must to visit as this is an impressive location with an amazing bullying structure. This is a very important bouddhist location therefore worth to visit. Not far away I recommend to go to the Skywalk view in the north to have a view of the Mekong river.

  3. This is said to be one of the best temples in all of Isan, so I had to have a look. It IS one of the nicest temples I’ve found outside of Bangkok or Chiang Mai. It’s free to visit, but the one big draw back is – it is located about 125 km from Udon Thani so it pretty much takes a day to visit.

  4. It takes up to 2 hours by car to get here from Udon Thani, but it’s a nice trip and well worth an effort. Temple complex is very nice in terms of architecture and decor, not to mention spectacular location on top of a hill. Food and drinks are available on site. Last but not least, entry free of charge for all visitors !

  5. This temple is a spectacular temple in Na Yung district, it is quite a distance from Udonthani town, almost 2 hrs drive. However, I consider a worth visiting place. The reclining Buddha statue was carved from Carrera white marble. As usual, be remind to dress proper when visiting temple.

  6. It the most beautiful temple on the mountain. There is the huge of marble Buddha inside. You can enjoy the Thai and Budhism way of life here. Also you must wear an appropriated dress code.
