  1. We visited during the week so it was not too busy…. The giant serpent is a 3D art gallery which you can walk through and have your picture taken against some of the 3D images. From the serpent you walk a few hundred metres to the giant toad which is a five story observation deck… there is a lift but when we visited it was not working. The view from the top… the toad’s mouth is very good with nice views over the lake and Yasothon city. Walking back to the car park are the usual Thai food carts and some also selling souvenirs. A good place to visit for a few hours and the kids will like it too.

  2. Not sure what it’s like the rest of the year but…….it’s an exciting place one weekend out of the month in May.

  3. We visited this attraction during thai rocket festival with competition of rockets flying high in the daytime of Sunday. There was light and sounds performance about city legend. There wasOTOP products center.

  4. Big landmark in the city. I went there during my visit Ubonrachathani. The landmark look good but not interested can go inside for free but i have to take off my shoe when I go inside the landmark around there also have big Naka. Recommended not go in the afternoon.. Too hot!!!

  5. The park is a great area to visit in Yasothon, with a large man made lake and a few interesting things to check out – and lots of food vendors of course. The giant Toad statue is great – go inside and walk up to the viewing platform (watch your head here and there – low walls now and then) .

  6. Visited today & although the story behind the toad & it’s relevance to the Bun Bang Fai Festival is interesting (this is told on story boards within the giant toad) the whole area around the giant toad os quite messy & lacks care, the area is strewn with rubbish by locals & visiting Thai tourists & certainly needs a clean up. The large Naga (Snake) can also be visited & walked through. Worth visiting if you are in the area to find out the story behind it but it’s certainly not fantastic & the information provided is almost entirely in Thai script.

  7. Went here recently with my girlfriend and her family the actual naga museum is okay but there is literally nothing else around it except from a few street food vendors. It could be way better if they put abit more effort in to the surrounding area.

  8. I get that Yasothon is short on tourist attractions, but making them out of concrete is probably not a good idea. This dusty park on the edge of pretty unattractive lake sports both a giant concrete toad and dragon. Both seem neglected and are ageing badly and rapidly.Save time and just view them from the highway as you drive past.

  9. I was glad to see the grounds taken care of and liked the promenade along the lake. The “frog museum” was interesting and I did enjoy the 15 minute theater presentation telling how the rocket festival in Isaan originated. The “naga” museum was informative and professionally presented. ( captions in English also). The two places are not overwhelming and nicely done. It is worth a visit if you like to learn new information.

  10. The park itself is not much, but each year it plays host to the Bun Bang Fai Festival (Rocket Festival), which is an incredible event. The arrangements in the park for the festival are all rather chaotic, but that’s undoubtedly part of the appeal of the event.
