  1. I saw that rock at my similan tour. That is a good view. It is amazing because its really look like an elephant and not human made.

  2. Elephant Head Rock is a great diving area, but there can be a lot of current, so if you are really a beginner maybe not that great. Depth goes to around max 35 meter.

  3. Great dive site. both for marine life and interesting diving with all the swim throughs. One of the few dives in the islands where we saw a shark (white tipped reef shark).

  4. Another site subject to underwater overcrowding. See reviews of Tachie & SIMILAN Islands. National park seem more interested in checking everyone has a ticket rather than restricting the passes to preserve the reefs and wildlife.

  5. I always love to dive at Elephant Head Rock. You feel like you are floating in mountains. Big stones welcome you that you are so small on the earth.

  6. The shape of this rock looks some strange. It is harf for me to demonstrate. But I dived there. I have to say this place is most suitable for dive absolutely.

  7. A good bare foot walk to the top of the rockA little crowded with the Chinese people but the view!! OMG its a wallpaper view!Far away u can see an island that has water surrounding it with a deep blue and then a dark blue!

  8. This is a nice spot, if somewhat overcrowded in the daytime. We were here for the diving, which was OK, but not as good as many other places in Thailand. The swim through some were fun, but there’s not lots of coral or an abundance of fish life.Better further north for diving.

  9. You go in a circle around the huge central boulders, in either direction, depending on the current. Depths can go to way beyond 30m, depending on your certification and experience. You’ll see sharks at the greater depths. If you’re lucky, “Barry”, the barracuda is hiding under an overhang in the shallows. You’ll need a good guide to take you through all the magnificent swim-thrus, from down at 25m to just below the surface. With good viz this can be the best site in the entire National Marine Park. Also, ask your guide about Elephant Head Pinnacle, which is just off to the … south-east I believe? No one ever goes there and it is beautiful. Full of pristine coral gardens. But very deep!

  10. The Similan Islands are renowned for their pristine waters, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life, making them a snorkeler’s paradise. With crystal-clear visibility, snorkelers can easily spot a variety of colorful fish, including clownfish, butterflyfish, and angelfish. The coral reefs are teeming with life, featuring stunning formations and intricate patterns. Some of the most popular snorkeling spots on the Similan Islands include:Koh Miang: Offers a variety of snorkeling sites with different levels of difficulty and marine life.Koh Tachai: Known for its pristine beaches and abundant coral reefs.Koh Bon: A popular spot for snorkeling due to its rich coral reefs and diverse underwater ecosystem.Elephant Head Stone: The best place ever I did snorkeling.
