  1. Chaloem Phra Kiat Park is still in the building phase with a food hall, shops and a Visitor Centre under construction and new paths being built around the attraction. At this stage it is free entry (bikes are available for a paid hire). I’m sure when they finish building they’ll start charging an entry fee.You can walk on a system of boardwalks over the water lilies and lotus flowers giving you plenty of opportunities to view and photograph these beautiful flowers. At the time of our visit (December 2015) a lot of plants were not flowering, so am not sure when it is the best time of year to visit – probably not December or in cool season.

  2. Very easy to find, enroute from Sakon Nakhon there are so many great places to stop for those things you just can’t find in large towns. The park is located just opposite a large lake on your right. There is a small white access bridge on your left, just over the bridge is great parking. On site are clean toilets and a very refreshing restaurant, food is of great quality and quantity for the more picky folks like myself. As you look out from the rest area you will see every color of floating water lilies, even blue ones yes! (4) shades of blue. A above the water platform allows you to walk above the water even touch some of the more exotic plants. There are park security so let’s, not try to be to brazen. There is a alagator feeding farm onsite for you and the kids to walk above and around the tanks. Along your walk you will find vast amounts of water containers filled with nursery plants at varying stages. If you visit during the weekday, you are lucky because English speaking botonist are available to teach, show and explain the various types of water life as well as the benefits to adding to any water source. The visit last as long as you like and it is FREE, so next time you have a few open hours take a drive 30 minutes from Sakon Nakhon city center.

  3. Need transport, outside Sakon, truly pleasant and relaxing. You will stay here longer than you planned, It is a peaceful place. Just over the road the Lake Nong Han. Also the little towns nearby well worth looking around

  4. Lotus garden of Kasaetsart University. Cycles are for hire and there’s plenty of cycle routes. If you’re tall; being your own bike 😉

  5. If you are in the area, this is a must see! The variety of lotus flowers are amazing. Very tranquil setting. It was nice to stop our busy schedule and spend time there.

  6. Stopped here on the way to Sakhom- very beautiful and well maintained. Can get drink and use loos here

  7. This ia a beautiful well laid out Lily and Lotus Park. The variety of colours is really amazing and it keeps changing ,depending upon the season.A beautiful Dragon / Naga statue has been built here and is proof of the artistic nature of the Thai people. A must see attraction, very restful and no entry fees. There is a small coffee shop and an OROP store. Don’t miss it.

  8. Stumbled over this place and just called in . Very quiet here great to relax and walk over the large lily ponds on it red wooden path ways. Not many lilies out this time of year but still a lovely place to visit for an hour or too or maybe just sit and read a book like i did .there’s a small cafe on site too.?

  9. This park is also called “Kasetsart University Lotus and Water Lily Park”- next to highway AH15. For nature & garden lovers this is a must to see. Singapore has their “orchid park” of a variety of orchids and Thailand has their own park displaying a variety of water lilies and lotuses. Once you walk on the boardwalk and to the ground area with a variety of water pots, you’ll see close up the different colors and types of water lilies. There is also a circular shaded trail around the park to walk on. The place is well landscaped and the small lake make it very picturesque. ( A couple cafes are next to the parking area. ( morning is the best time to go)

  10. Weekdays quiet. Nice walk around the park that is appropriately maintained Water lilies and lotus abundant. There is a slight aroma from the lake. Unsure where it is from
