Ok, it is nice and we were taken there by the bus driver. Nothing very special, it has not a huge volume of water and the surroundings are ok but nothing exceptional
Riding a motorbike on the scenic twisting roads up through the mountains, a car park approaches on the left. Park in here and walk down the steps to one of the most amazingly beautiful (personal opinion) waterfalls in Thailand.Study the waterfall from the viewing platform and take note of the surrounding natural beauty. 300 metres or so from the road, one can spend time listening to the water crashing over the rocks and the birds singing whilst not being disturbed by traffic from the road. Not popular with tourists, one can spend time here relaxing in the peaceful tranquility. When you’ve done with the viewing platform, but fancy a closer look, turn around and on the left there is a small dirt path which takes you down the extremely steep bank to the base of the waterfall. WARNING: be very careful when climbing down, there were lots of dead leaves covering the footpath on my visit which greatly reduced my grip. I’d recommend walking boots/shoes (not the flip-flops I stupidly wore) as one slip and you’ve got a nasty fall if you don’t manage to catch a tree on the way down! Not only that, you’d have to be air lifted out and imagine the cost!Once you’ve made it, all surrounding noise is drowned out by the sound of gushing water hitting the rocks at the base of the waterfall. There’s some good areas to sit here and relax but make sure you’re wearing mosquito repellent as there’s some pools of still water which is where females (the ones that bite you) lay their eggs.Go left from the base of the waterfall and you can see where it runs to. As a fit and healthy 31 year old man, I couldn’t manage the climb down any further due to the slippery rocks but I was wearing flip-flops!Highly recommended for a quick look or a few hours relaxing.
Good for a short break in your ascent toward Doi Inthanon. Off road parking with a path and a few short steps down to the viewpoint below this 40 meter waterfall. No swimming. The wooden platform is designed to show the waterfall in a photogenic setting.
We stopped at this fall on our way to Doi Inthanon. A small fall, nothing much to see. Compared to the Wachirathan Waterfall, which we visited before stopping here, this fall has nothing to offer and can be skipped.
This waterfall was part of a full day tour where we saw the wachirathan waterfall, the sirithan waterfall, inthanon and pagoda. Good pictures. No swimming. Can only get pictures from a distance.
Nice but very small. You can’t get that close but you still have good views. Very remote and peaceful. You only need ten minutes. There are about one hundred steps down to see the waterfall and then up again so take this into account.
I’ve seen many waterfalls in my time and this one was pretty nice. Worth a look if in area. Be careful walking down the dirt track.
This is a nice waterfall to look at. There is a proper stairway to lead to the look out point. If you want to get next to the waterfall, you will have to take the small trail down, which is quite dangerous.
Beautiful waterfall and pretty easy to get to. Going to see waterfalls is one of my favorite things to do and this one was very prett.
This is a dramatic waterfall, however you can’t get anywhere close to it. You can only view it through trees, from a platform. There are no facilities at the parking area.
