To visit the Pong Kwaw Hotsprings was one of the highlights on our enduro-trip back from Pai.The whole place is kept very clean by the friendly staff. We enjoyed the thermal water in the big pools outside with only a few other visitors. The private cabins, even with cold showers, are the place to relax.

Multitude of fantastic hot spring baths to choose from – very very quiet at the minute also food served on site. Beware of very tricky track to get there – 4 wheel drive much better equipped to navigate very rocky and muddy dirt track.
This hot spring resort is truly off the beaten track. Located deep in the mountains of Samoeng Nua district of Chiang Mai, the road up is a dirt road. The resort is old and run down but the there are multiple hot spring bathhouses for big & small groups. For 100 baht you can stay the whole day
Great drive on the scooter, the views are amazing! Taking the journey is worth it for all the beautiful scenery! The last kilometer or so of the road was dirt, just a heads up! There were cows on the road along the way too! When we got there, we had the whole place to ourselves. Some of the big communal pools were empty, but the individual huts were ready to go! Caution, the water is VERY HOT! They give you towels and suits. Entrance to private hut is 200 baht each. I also have a video on YouTube if you want to check it out. Find me at wattstraveling.
