  1. Certainly not a spectacular waterfall and certainly not worth the effort to drive there and then do the walk to get there. Even if cool off you’re going to be hot by the time you walk back up the hill. If you’re a local Thai then it’s probably an OK to hang out for a few hours with friends, eat some food and enjoy the day. Not recommended for tourists.

  2. We were here on December 23rd. We were told local Thai come here to seek cooling during hot days. However there was no water there when we arrived, maybe because of the season. If there would have been water though I am not sure how impressive it would have been and if it’s worth taking a detour for.

  3. It’s pretty far off udonthani town and was there as was visiting friends around the area. Had to trek for about 300m downhill prior to arriving at the ‘falls’ and will get to see many wild butterflies along the way up. But as it’s the rainy season, water ain’t very clear and the falls wasn’t really that impressive to be honest. What can be done is that you could stop by at tesco lotus just before the entrance to stock up for drinks and snacks and go there for a mini picnic of sort. Ensure that you have proper food wear (slippery rocks) and ladies, please take note that there are no restrooms at the fall, everything will be back to nature with minimum privacy.

  4. …if somebody would take care the place. In fact it’s a part of a forest park but it looks (often) like a kind of local rubbish dump. Splitters of glass, crown corks and other souvenirs left by former guests make a visit less impressive. However when there’s water in the numberous ponds it’s a nice place to have a picnic or drink, cooling down a little before going up to the top of the mountain…

  5. I visited this place during the rainy season but there was hardly any water and there were lots of rubbish

  6. We went here on the way to a temple and what a waste of time. There was no water, there was rubbish everywhere and I wouldn’t recommend anyone go out if their way to visit here, heaven knows why they wasted the money sign posting this place.

  7. In the hot of the summer you can take a break under this cristal clear waters. It`s easy to get there, can go by car and take a short walk.

  8. Another fantastic attrection ruined by the ammount of discarded rubbish. The authorites are trying to issue waste bags to bring out, but this is a common problem of discarding waste and needs addressing .

  9. Than Ngam Waterfall is a nice place to relax and cool off. It is a free attraction. Just a bit dirty in places with rubbish, litter due to inconsiderate people.
