  1. We stumbled upon this on the way to the Warorot Market. The museum has two floors with a mix of stamps, postal equipment, local history and explanations about Thai traditions. As a stamp lover, the unusual infrared stamps and stamps printed on silk were interesting. Parents may find this to be educational for kids – there are antique scales, typewriters, an old telegraph and other kinds of postal equipment on display. Admission is free. There is a shop on the first floor that has some commemorative issue stamps for sale.

  2. This used to be a landmark building judging from the old photographs when it was a courthouse and later the central post office. There is interesting old equipment used at the post office as well as stamps and even a collection of Buddha destined to be sent out of the country and confiscated by the postal authorities. Free entry.

  3. Don’t expect a vast store of stamp history; what you get is a snapshot of Thailand’s history seen through philately. It’ll take you 1/2 hr max and you’ll leave with some stunningly beautiful stamps for post cards, letters of collecting.

  4. This two storey building used to be the main post office but that has shifted nearby. My tuk-tuk driver probably took me here by mistake after I said I wanted to buy stamps for postcards, but the visit was a bonus as staff (who spoke English) sold me the stamps and I was also able to have a quick look at the exhibits. There is antique equipment here such as typewriters plus a reasonable display of curated philately. If one examines the latter closely one can see parts of Thai history honoured.Clean inside. No visible dust on exhibits.Worth at least 15 minutes of your time, and just across the river if arriving from the railway station.

  5. Interesting to see the history of the Thai postal Services. Many old pictures on postal activities. And of course many Thai stamps to be see. Building (old Post Office) exterior and interior well kept. Possibility to buy mint Thai stamps. And, very pleasant, you can buy older Thai stamps, out of circulation, for the normal nominal prices! (as on the date of issue). Admission free. Unfortunately the stamps on silk were no longer available.

  6. Discount for trio museums entry ticket, you pay for 2 to visit 3 places. Not as spectacular as the other 2 sister museums.

  7. Locsted down by the river, market definitely requires a taxi to find it.Good displays chsrting cultursl developmentsSmall sets from 12 baht.Good choice at shop in entrance and advice on best purchases

  8. Hardly worth a visit. A lot of royalty stamps featured. There are some old pillar boxes outside. Has old typewriters.

  9. Well, philatelists seem happy with it, but for others this is a very outdated and neglected museum of the ‘old’ kind.Updates are very few, many item are placed behind glass producing harsh reflections, and many items are only described in Thai – as you can see from my photographs. There are items from bygone years of little interest with no explanation. There are various historical pictures of interest and an interesting history of Thai philately in Thai and English. The museum occupies two floors and is a fine old colonial style building, standing in generous grounds which are now used for commercial car-parking which is a bit disappointing. There are some items for sale there, including stamp collections as to be expected. There was one staff member there, who didn’t offer any help.
