  1. Probably the best beach out of all 6 beaches we visited along the Trang coastline. The beach is in a nature reserve. Foreigners pay 200 Baht admission fee while Thai nationals pay 40 Baht. If you work here in Thailand as we do then you can also pay 40 Baht if you show your work permit. There is a little path through the greenery before the gate where you can park your scooter/car and walk about 50-100m to the beach, then just walk along the beach for about 600m towards your the right to get to the popular spot where all the paying visitors swim. The water is clear and super warm. Beautiful limestone cliffs extend into the ocean. Wait for low tide and you can walk into the ocean around the cliff and get to another small ‘private’ beach. There’s also a restaurant which sells good Thai food for surprisingly little money. Try the seafood fried rice (only 50 Baht). You can buy beers, sweets, water, etc there too. Watch out for the monkeys on the beach – they steel your food and whatever else you leave lying around. Rather lock what you don’t need in your scooter/car. I’d encourage you to pay the admission fee though so that they can keep this beach well maintained. Don’t forget your camera.

  2. This beach is very clean and clear and not at all crowded. The only issue is foreigners have to pay more money than locals.

  3. We really enjoyed Yong Ling Beach for many reasons. The beach was empty during the week day. It was well preserved with no trash. It had caves and islands to explore. There were monkeys on the beach which were so fun to watch steal the fisherman’s catch. And it was extremely picturesque and beautiful. Perhaps the only thing I didn’t care for was the entrance fee for foreigners but other than that we loved spending a couple hours here and interacting with the fisherman. I would definitely not hesitate in coming here again in the future. It’s places like this which is the reason why I love Thailand !!
