You have to know where to look for this hidden gem, but it is worth the trip. Secluded and so serene. You get a guided tour by the Garden staff on the Garden’s boat. Just so nice to get back to nature!
Being a botanical garden I had expected to see mostly flowers, but this was soooo much more. I don’t know their total program offered, but we went for a guided boat-ride through the mangrove forest. We were fortunate that the area was flooded so we could go by boat into most parts of the mangrove forest. Doing this in the early morning when everything is quiet is an amazing experience. Inside the forest they are not allowed to use the motors on the boats, but paddle through the area. Both peaceful and beautiful. And our guide was both knowledgeable and very friendly. Will definitely do again next time I visit the area..
The Rayong Botanical Garden offers a good break from being on the beach. Good place for a walk or why not rent a bike or a kayak. We did all three.
Me and my partner visited here and we were pleasantly surprised. Rayong on the whole is a quiet and sleepy place, so this was a great place to be active and take a cycle round or get a kayak to use on the sea. It is a good activity for families and outside is a lovely man who sells coffee and has a variety to choose from. He was friendly and played some lovely music when we sat down to consume our coffee. The cycle and kayak hire is very affordable.
A fantastic day out! Cycling and kayaking available. We walked around the gardens and into the forest area. Beautiful.
A real find. No charge to enter. Beautiful botanical gardens and waterways. Made special by exploring on pushbikes.. only 50 thb to hire a bike ! You can also hire kayaks, walk or a larger boat trip. Small selection of stalls to grab food from and very cheap to eat here. The only improvement could be that it is not well signposted when you enter the park so easy to think there is not much here unless you drive around .
Very nice and beautiful, suitable for walking, you can rent a bike or kayak. The park has no entrance fee. We went with a rented car and through Google Maps.
The atmosphere here is good, shady, and there are many different kinds of flowers, very beautiful. Some species have never been seen before.
Drove an hour. On arrival went to Information desk. Asked about boat trip. Told there was a queue and next boat would be at 2 pm. Offered to pay. They would take payment when we got a boat and that is the clue we missed! Purchased a drink and waited 50 minutes. At 1.45 pm returned to Information Desk. He looked at his schedule and indicates “no boat”. We went to the boats and spoke to a boatman who was boarding six people. He said there may be a boat at 3pm but still we didn’t know how to book. Non the wiser we asked the kayak staff who indicated that we should ask the man at the “Information Desk”! The only information this man could give was that “I only work on the desk”. NO ONE could tell us how to book the boat which was advertised behind the man at the “Information Desk” for which he takes payments. So very disappointing. A two hour drive for nothing.
