ต้นไทรที่วัดไทรถือว่าเป็นสิ่งแปลกมหัศจรรย์ที่หาดูได้ค่อนข้างยาก หากมีเวลาก็เชิญแวะมาชมได้ วัดไทรอยู่แถวๆ ธนาการ์เด้นเลย ถ้าไปเหนือก็แวะมาเที่ยวกันดีกว่า อย่างน้อยก็เที่ยวในไทย สิงห์บุรีมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวอีกมากมาย มาครั้งหนึ่งถ้ามีแรงได้หลายสิบที่เลยทีเดียว ประทับใจแน่นอน
เป็นวัดที่ มีต้นโพธิ์ หลายๆต้น และรากของต้นโพธิ์นั้น เลื้อยไปพยุงกำแพงโบสถ์ เป็นปราการชั้นดีไม่ให้โบสถ์พัง ชาวบ้านแถวนั้นบอกว่า เกิดมาก็เห็นอยู่แล้ว
เป็นวัดร้างที่ซ่อนตัวอยู่ริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา เป็นวัดเล็กๆที่ปัจจุบันได้ ร้างไปแล้วเนื่องจาก มีการกัดเซาะริมตลิ่งของแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาเข้ามาเรื่ือยๆ จนพื้นที่ของวัด แทบไม่มีเหลือ อยู่ที่คงอยู่คือ วิหารริมแม่น้ำที่ปล่อยทิ้งร้าง แต่ มี ต้นไทร อายุหลายร้อยปี ขนาด มหึมา ที่โอบล้อม พันเกี่ยว ยึดกับตัว วิหารไว้ อย่าง งดงาม มี มนต์เสน่ห์ ที่ ตราตรึงใจ
วัดไทรสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา ที่มีแต่ตัวโบสถ์แบบเดิมหลงเหลืออยู่กับพระพุทธรูปภายในโบสถ์ ที่มีต้นไทรล้อมรอบตัวโบสถ์ จนมาปกคลุมด้านบน องค์พระ ทำให้มีเอกลักษณ์และความขลังกับวัดไทรแห่งนี้ ด้านบนไม่มีหลังคาเพราะสร้างกี่ครั้งฟ้าก็ผ่าพังหมดทุกครั้ง ภายนอกบริเวณวัดอยู่ติดกับแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา การเดินทางมานี้อาจจะลำบากสักเล็กน้อย เพราะอยู่ค่อนข้างลึกในตัวหมู่บ้านแต่ไม่ยากถ้าใช้ GPS นำทางมา
วัดไทร อยู่ริมแม่น้ำ ในอ.อินทรบุรี มีพระพุทธรูปประดิษฐานภายใต้ต้นไทรใหญ่ ภายในโบสถเก่าโบราณ ที่มีทางเข้าออกทางเดียว
“วัดไทร” จ.สิงห์บุรีวัดร้างที่มีรากต้นไทรโอบยึดกำแพงโบสถ์ไว้ไม่ให้พังทลายลงมา ส่วนศาลาวัดได้พังลงน้ำไปแล้ว ภายในโบสถ์ประดิษฐานองค์พระประธาน นามว่า “หลวงพ่อขาว” หรือ “หลวงพ่อวัดไทร” ตามชื่อของวัด
