寺院は川の近くに位置することが多いですが、ここも川の近くに、の典型ですね。ご本尊等階段を上っていくレイアウトは、こちら地方の方でいくつか見ました。課題としては、二度目にここに行くには交通機関等どうしたらいいのでしょうか、というところです。
วัดแว่นจันทร์ เป็นวัดเก่า สร้างในสมัยปลายกรุงศรีอยุธยา พระประธานเป็นพระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัย สร้างจากหินศิลา ชาวบ้านนิยมเรียกว่า หลวงพ่อศิลาค่ะ อุโบสถสร้างจากไม้สักทอง งดงามมากค่ะ เรียกกันว่าเป็นอุโบสถมหาอุด ไม่มีประตูออกทางด้านหลังค่ะ สามารถนั่งเรือมาลงที่ท่าน้ำได้ค่ะ
เป็นวัดที่ใกล้ชิดกับชุมชน ไม่มีรั้ว ไม่มีประตู พื้นที่ของวัดและชาวบ้านรอบ ๆ เป็นไปอย่างเกื้อกูลกัน หากผ่านมาและมีเวลาก็แวะไหว้พระ ทำบุญเพื่อสิริมงคลกันได้
