仏足跡は、大きさのいかんにかかわらずスコータイで出土してバンコク国立博物館に所蔵されていたり、ミャンマーのスエダダゴンにもあったりで、歴史を通じて仏教寺院、仏教美術の特徴的テーマになっていますね。ここはチャオプラヤ川の反対側なので、一度目はもちろん二度目三度目に行くにしても交通はちょっと難儀かなという領域ですね。
วัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ริมน้ำแม่กลอง มีหลักฐานจากพระอุโบสถว่าวัดนี้สร้างตั้งแต่สมัยสุโขทัย ประตูเข้าอุโบสถมีด้านหน้าประตูเดียว เรียกว่าโบสถมหาอุตม์ หมายความว่าเข้าแล้วไม่ออก บวชแล้วไมสึกค่ะ ก่อนเดินเข้าโบสถ์จะพบเด็กที่เป็นจิตอาสามายืนต้อนรับค่ะ หลังจากไหว้พระในโบสถ์เสร็จแล้ว ค่อยนั่งเรือข้ามฟากไปเที่ยวอัมพวาต่อค่ะ
