Using the subway (MRT) is an easy and inexpensive way to travel around Bangkok. Getting a card is less expensive than buying a token each time. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. There is no traffic and to save the time….
Clean and not overcrowded. Quite quiet on a Sunday morning. Pleasant ride, cool environment and clean seat
Best way to get from the modern centre of Bangkok to old Bangkok ( palace, wat pho etc). Can be busy at rush hour, but same goes for the BTS too.
The Bangkok Metro system is a well designed and a safe form of transport. Clear oral announcements are repeated in English. The signage is clear and the automated ticket machines are easy to use. There are ticket offices in every station if you are not confident in using the machines. Good queuing systems operate at busy times. It is only a pity that it does not cover more of the city.
Great experience, systems are in place, people and staff are friendly and accommodative. Saves time with bangkok traffic.
The connection is very good and there is a lot of frequency and you don’t have to wait long. Train is very clean and efficient.
Unreliable time. Sometimes the train leave a little early than it suppose to but I guess this isn’t Japan.
It is cheaper than BTS. A lot comfortable than the public transportation like buses. It linked with someone famous places.
This is the best way to travel in Bangkok. It is underground and is not impacted by the notorious traffic jams in the streets. It is very cheap and there are machines with instructions in English to buy tickets (also ticket offices are available). It is not as extensive as in other cities but it is very efficient. Very clean, air conditioned and very easy to use.
Sadly, the MRT have removed the senior citizens discount for non-Thais. Another example of racial discrimination. What next?
