น้ำตกแห่งนี้ มี ต้นกำเนิด ของ สายน้ำ มาจาก น้ำตกธารเสด็จ โดย น้ำที่ไหล มาจาก “ตาน้ำ”บน เขา จะไหล ลัดเลาะ ไปตาม โตรกหิน จน มาถึง บริเวณ ปลายทาง ก่อน ไหลลงสู่ ทะเล ของอ่าวไทย ที่บริเวณ อ่าวน้ำตก (อ่าวธารเสด็จ) โดย บริเวณ ก่อนจะถึง ปลายทาง นี้ จะ มี น้ำตก ธารประพาส ตั้งอยู่ ที่จริงแล้ว คือ น้ำตกเดียวกัน กับ น้ำตก ธารเสด็จ แต่ ได้ มี การตั้งชื่อ ที่ ต่าง กัน โดย พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 5 ได้ พระราชทานชื่อ บริเวณนี้ว่า “น้ำตกธารประพาส” จุดเด่น ของ บริเวณน้ำตก ธารประพาส นี้ บริเวณไม่ห่างจากน้ำตกมากนัก จะเป็นที่ตั้ง ของ พลับพลา ที่ประทับ ของ พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาล ที่ 5 ตั้งอยู่ อีกทั้ง ยังมี ก้อนหิน ขนาดใหญ่ ที่ ได้ มีการจารึก พระนามย่อ ของ กษัตริย์ไทย หลายพระองค์ ที่ได้เคย เสด็จ มา ยัง สถุานที่ นี้ ได้ แก่ พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 5,พระเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 7 และ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาล ที่ 9 บริเวณน้ำตก นี้ น้ำใสสะอาด ร่มรื่น มี ฝูงนก หายาก บิน ผ่านมา ให้ เห็น เป็นระยะ บ่งบอกว่า สถานที่นี้ มีความหลากหลาย ของ สิ่งมีชีวิต ซึ่งยังคง ความอุดมสมบูรณ์ เป็นอย่างยิ่ง ครับ
