  1. Drove round and round, following signs, ended up at a school, then a back street somewhere, signage is limited in english so we gave up in the end. If you are keen get good directions, and good luck. We had a pleasant drive anyway 🙂

  2. The entry is very steep but once up it is easy to drive around. Beautiful manicured gardens, agricultural areas including animals such as sheep, some caged wild cats (Leopards etc) and many caged birds including large Hornbills.

  3. I am still wondering today why this place is really called a palace because it is more like a farm. It is quite refreshing to see sheeps, big trees and fields of flowers when you live in Bangkok. We parked at the starting point of the farm then walked up and went down from the other side (follow the stairs) where there are lotus flowers ponds. There is a lot of information about the place, the fauna and the flora of the area, but only in Thai. It seems to be designed for school visits.Overall a good place if you live in a big city, but not a major point for international tourists.

  4. If u’ve never fed grass to sheep, just come here. At here they sell fleece scarf but only in creamy color. There is not much things to do here. We drove to the area where the palace is located which is just few kms from the place u feed sheep. It is not allowed to see the residents.

  5. On our way back on the small country road from Ban Rak Thai to Mae Hong Son, we drove through these extensive grounds of sheep farming and agriculture. There’s also a kind of Zoo with mainly deer.Nowadays, Princess Sirindhorn comes here a few times a year, probably by helicopter.
