Arrived here after a rainy morning at Kai Bae. Lovely clean beach, with warm clear shallow water. Stopped for a swim and lunch.
Plenty of restaurants to choose from which are not pricey at all. The beach chairs are free to sit on as long as you order at the bar or restaurant. Water is clear and not big waves so families with small children are welcome. Nice scenery with backdrops of small islands.
How? Why?Because you don’t have an amazing sunset there like on Khlong Prao Beach or White Sand Beach.Because this beach is very short and you can’t jog at sunrise or worse have a long relaxing walk at Sunset.And it is kind of a waste because long walks on the beach are amazingly relaxing, especially at sunset…did I mention you can’t see the sun disappearing in the sea from this beach? So, yes, the trees along this beach are beautiful and everything there creates a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.It is just that I prefer the sunsets and you can find much better in Ko Chang.
We really enjoyed our day at Klong Koi beach. It was a great place to chill out, relax, swim and eat nice food. It had a very beachy, relaxed vibe about he place. I highly recommend a day trip there or at least stay a few nights in one of the many bungalows.
Day trip to this beach, it’s a relaxing spot, easy to get nice food, also had pretty good massage on the beach, unfortunately the water is extremely polluted and we could not swim so would not go back.
but there is no place… i remember this nice beach when there where not so many people its like phuket now including the ripoff
Decent little beach we found while spending the day exploring southern Koh Chang. It has a busier part closer to the main road, equipped with bars and restaurants, bungalows, massage parlours and dive shop. We went for the calmer end of the beach (starting around the Chivaburi beach resort). There was bits and pieces of rubbish floating around and the water wasn’t as clean as on other beaches on the island, but it didn’t bother us as we were just there for a quick dip and short break before heading back north.
A very small beach that is packed with tourists. Just beyond Bang Bao. Very nice with plenty of restaurants but too busy.
We love the end-of-the-road vibe here, laid-back bars and cheap eats (the Bamboo Hut highly recommended) next to a small strip of sand. Nice mix of young backpackers and discerning older tourists. Think carefully before bringing a motorcycle as the road is exceptionally steep and windy in places – shared taxi or a car probably better. Water very warm, views to islands.
