  1. This is a most beautiful Wat (Temple). Simple but stunning! Very few foreigners go to this temple. My favourite in all of Thailand (I have my own car and have travelled all over Thailand for many years) but do not expect a normal ornate temple.I have known the Australian Abbot for about 25 years and he has been my life-teacher all this time. I travel here regularly from my Bangkok home and find peace and learning every time. Even my Australian atheist mate had a wonderful time chatting to the Abbot one day. The Abbot has very strict dress-codes and enjoys meaningful questions about anything at all. He does his alms-round near the temple at 0700 each day before entering the temple for his morning address about 0800. He can also be found to chat with during the afternoons about 1500. A visit can be tagged on with a visit to the Subtawee Dhammaram monastery next door, which specialises in meditation under Leung Por Gunhah, and where anyone can stay in modern rooms with en-suites at no charge including the daily morning meal. I was here last week and am going again next week (Oct 18). A spititual time to relax and enjoy under mediation masters and teachers.
