  1. Family joined wife’s colleagues for a fun morning trip enjoying pelicans, herons, cranes, sand pipers n wagtails along with hundreds and hundreds of active fiddler, ghost, menders mangrove and mud crabs along with mudskippers at the mangrove forest project. We spotted the mud skipper at the end of the walkway where the mangrove forest met the open sea. We were then able to observe crabbers busy collecting the larger blue swimming crabs and fishing junks in the distance. “Wow, look!” Must’ve been the most repeated phrase. Most of the walk was shaded and easy for those of any age though I didn’t see any of the transport vehicles (you take around the ponds to the wooden walkway for the forest) fit with wheelchair loading equipment. The vehicles are in good condition though the wooden walkways need maintaining-that’s why I didn’t give 5 stars.Other logistical deets…entry fee was nominal. I’d say you need 1 1/2- 2 hours for this activity. The explanation of how the project processes waste water while on the transport vehicle is in Thai only though one could easily search online to find info in English. Also, there are plenty inexpensive eateries offering freshly caught crab nearby…even stalls offering cooked crab to-go!
