Stunning and Beautiful place with antique temple. Location is not far from town. The place is peaceful. Must come to visit
The monastery is located in a prime location and it is very easy to find. All buses have a station in the parking lot next to the monastery. We are currently running a large work so that gets a lot better appearance, better organized with lots of flowers. In the monastery lives and works Master Vipassana meditation in the Thailand, AJAHN TONG.During my stay in Meditatorskom center within the monastery, I had the honor to attend the ceremonies with Ajahn Tong. He is 94 yers old, now.
This is an old temple with many buildings. There’s a very big old tree which is supported by many wooden support. There’s a huge copper gong and a huge copper bell that visitors sound for blessings. There’s also a tree full of bee hives.
It was extremely misty when I visited, but I found the site itself to be beautiful. I enjoyed the cooler temperatures and loved the museum on site that detailed the natural resources management issues the region faces. Highly recommend, but check the weather beforehand if you’re hoping for views. I loved how misty it was, if only because I think it made the stupas more mysterious looking.
