Betong Mongkollit Tunnel is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Rattanakit Road Betong District, 95110, Thailand
The tunnel is located under the Betong Museum. After cross over it, there are night market & big chicken of Betong. Enjoy shopping & clicking photo with the landmarks
This tunnel leads you from the main Betong town to a smaller. Its entrance started from just outside the Grand Mandarin Hotel (the tallest building) of Betong town. Via the tunnel, with a few minutes ride, it opens into a small park whereby the Betong Chicken & its coop is featured as monuments build in clay.A mother hen & a cockerel with two eggs are colourfully build. The young chick, I have to stand on to take a nice photo. Whilst we cuddle the two eggs, it looks obscene in our pictures that the photos became a talking point in our various friends group.A smaller town is situated here.
The tunnel is decorated with beautiful lighting which look fascinated during the night. Highly recommended to have a walk in the tunnel during night time from one end to other end as to enjoy the lighting view.
Nice picture taking inside this colorful Betong Mongkollit Tunnel in the night. Walk through this tunnel will bring u to the night market on the other end. Too bad many shops are closed when I was there =(
The tunnel closed at night during my visit here, just located beside the Grand Mandarin Hotel. Spent a few minutes to walked through the tunnel and was greeted by a night market on the other end.
In daytime, this is just a normal tunnel. At night, it is beautifully-lit. At the end of the tunnel, there are nice chicken and car decoration. There is also a small night market. Worth a visit.
Nice place to take photos. Traffic is low so people are friendly. So you can be at the middle of the road to take pictures . Food at the night market is great too. It’s located just after the tunnel
