Its was a nice place to hang around. There are few pools and they also set up some public bath pool for taking bath. You can try to buy some eggs in packets for boil eggs.
Excitement filled 30 of us, visiting this hot spring. A larger pond of smoky Spring water, we could not dip ourselves in (too hot – was not really the reason). The smaller sheltered pavilion was where we ended up. But the knee height water was not even warm to tickle some tired legs. We spend some 15 minutes cracking jokes about the spring & the stale & not so clean water. Not even three locals were seen today but one was practically taking a bath soaping himself just a meter away. Bad, real bad – we quickly jump out of the water & hurried away. So now do you think the water is that clean? We really scrutinise the coconut vendor whom cut up 8 pieces of these for our quence. But it was old coconuts that even the aluminium spoons provided could not sink itself into, lest we break some spoons, we sip the water but could not the scoop the flesh.
Good place for swimming especially hot and warm water. Nice place for a lazy day. Good place to relax your mind. Nice view and surroundings.Shop also available especially for boiling eggs.
Quite a nice and relaxing hot spring at Betong,Not very far from Betong, you can dipped your feet ,but water not very hot ,just nice
4 towers with lighted Square box on top. This place – Karpal Singh Drive has replaced Gurney Drive as the latest leisure and recreation promenade in Penang. With the seafront, nice long stretch of walk away, restaurants, bistro, Starbucks, Coffee bean, Mc D, with cool sea breeze blowing, watching people fishing, etc.Best place for evening stroll after dinner.
Nothing much here, just some place to unwind. Spent less than an hour because we wanted to wait for the nearby souvenir shop to open 😉
I was looking forward to soak my feet after visiting few places. But I was a bit disappointed as the hot spring water was not hot even though I was there in the afternoon. But I think it will still be a good place for family gathering with kids though. I saw some kids swimming in the pool as well. We bought and tried the tapioca and pancake. Tapioca is nice, but I find the pancake too sweet for me.
Nice place to relax..hot spring water complete with delicious street food..from hot spring, can go to tunnel n flower garden.. exciting moment to share..
Is free.. Oh yeah. But after the dip, if you required a shower, a small charges as token. Don’t try to boil eggs there. Say only 7 min but after doing for 1 hour, eggs still half boil. BTW, you are not allow to dip your feet into the nature hot spring.
The place had some unsightly construction when we were there. However the place does have a certain charm. You can soak your feet there. You can boil eggs there. You can take pictures of the statues and the Japanese gates. The place also has an OTOP store which is arguably the most well-stocked souvenir store in Betong.
