  1. We went here today but you need to make sure you wear sensible shoes we went in flip flops and it wasn’t great as your are up and down rocks and through the river. When we got to the waterfall we expected after 30mins trek we would be able to swim in the water but it’s not deep enough and very rocky.. the waterfall is not very big at all. The caves are not the biggest either but went to see them as they are along the route to the waterfall.

  2. We had a very strange experience, while riding up to the caves some young teenager pointed us that we had to go to the left. When we arrived he was somehow sitting behind a desk with a ‘ticket’ sign. He couldn’t show us any prove of a company name or anything, he only had a note book in which he wrote down a number. We didn’t trust this at all and when we asked for a company name or anything he couldn’t speak a word of English anymore. We decided to just keep on walking, but he ran after us and started yelling and screaming at us. We did not feel comfortable at all leaving our scooter here and decided to just leave. Just follow directions from Maps and be careful who you buy tickets from.

  3. If possible then ask for the older (in thirties) guy to guide You (young guy doesn’t speak any english). Also, wear clothes that can get dirty since some places are difficult to reach! Some say that dont wear slippers but for me it was totally OK (later You can just walk into stream to cool yourself).NB! Do NOT go through crawl space if You are claustrophobic or afraid of spiders.Otherwise this was most exciting thing I’ve done on this island. Definitely recommend for someone looking for adventure! 🙂

  4. Wonderful jungle experience. Be ready for 30 minutes climb in jungle, than you experience relatively untouched caves. Be ready for very high humidity inside. For visit is recommended sportwear, be prepared, that will be dirty after visit, last 3 meters you must go on your knees :-).

  5. 2 types of tickets are available – guided tour 250 baht per person, without guide 100 baht. We chose to have a guide as usually having it makes such experiences more interesting. Unfortunately he did not speak English so I would recommend to have a guide only if you want adventures and are ready to explore every corner of the cave even by crawling through some tunnels. Wear comfortable shoes (avoid flip flops), it takes some time to walk to the cave and there are rocks you will need to climb over. Be ready that your clothes will get dirty while exploring the cave. Take some water with you.Overall we were not satisfied with experience because our guide did not speak English and we were not prepared well (wronge choice of footwear). Also few days ago we had a kayaking tour which included exploring big caves in Ghost Island – our experience there definately wins over Tiger Cave.

  6. Me and my brother toke a day away from the beach. We planed a trip with our chauffeur, the waterfall and the tiger cave. The tiger cave was in the middle of the jungle, not many tourist have been there. So it’s a bit tricky to get there without a guide. For 250bath per head we got a guide. The guid didn’t know much English but he was good anyways. He showed us a lot of animals on the way to the cave, it’s was really interesting. It looked like he know that forest very well. And he was very funny :)It was fun in the cave, squeezing and climbing! And it was very warm in there. Don’t recommend this if your claustrophobic or don’t like spiders/bats.

  7. go here for the night market. good and cheap local food available. Try the ice cream and the thai pancakes.

  8. Me and my boyfriend visited the cave today as we had heard about it online we found it through google maps and rode up to it by moped. The whole thing looks abandoned not a person insight so we assumed we could just head into the he forest and try to find it. After 35 minutes of trekking the forest by ourselves we finally saw some signs and arrived at the cave. We had no idea what we were doing in the slightest but it’s was cool and fun to see. There was a lot of plastic bottles at the entrance of the cave which was unfortunate! After reading the reviews for this place after I visited, I think there’s usually a local man who charges people at the entrance, which is just a dodgy way of them making money it’s simply a small cave in a jungle. If you do visit tiger cave take sun cream, water comfy clothes and shoes, as it is literally an overgrown jungle trek.

  9. If you like walking and enjoy exploring new places then this is a good way of spending a couple of hours. It’s a quiet nature walk. We paid the 100baht entrance fee and chose to go unguided which was fine. It took about 25 minutes to get to the cave, walking along a river and crossing over to the other bank from time to time. I wore trainers and managed to keep my feet dry. The scenery was lush and we saw a lizard, some lovely butterflies and we heard the monkeys in the bushes. The cave system was fun with lots of ladders to climb up and down to get further in. On the way back we came across a lovely bakery and coffee shop- a great way to end our walk.
