  3. If you are in the city, you should stop by here to pay the respect to the King Taksin Shrine. There is so many parking lots.

  4. Nice shrine and area, we purchased some King Taksin buddhist type trinkets to take home. Good photos.

  5. Within walking distance from river community, this little shrine is dedicated to Thai king ruling the kingdom quite a few ages ago. Interesting architecture mix of Thai and Chinese style. Worth visiting,If you have time to spare.

  6. Worth half an hour of anybody’s time on a sunny day. Many of the buildings are coloured red white and blue which I find unusual as most temples/shrines are predominantly gold. Some very intricate work on interior door panels

  7. Good place to stop by and learn about Thai history Pay respect for Thai King who save our country Across the road also nice place to learn about this town Good place to take photo

  8. Nice monument to give merit for king Taksin. Also you learn a bit more about the history of this important character in Thai history.

  9. The King Taksin Shrine is an interesting place, combining reverence and respect for King Taksin the Great, who reigned in the second half of the 18th century. The shrine and surrounding features are very colorful, making for sharp photos. Also quite peaceful, with tall trees growing on the site.

  10. The first photo shown for this Shrine is not correct as it is from the King Taksin Shipyard and not of the ‘Hat’ style shrine as it should be!The Shrine is located to the left of the main entrance to a Royal Thai Army base located in the middle of the City, and is well worth a visit when in Chantaburi City. It is quite beautiful, as well as being very revered by all Thai people. Just to the left of the entrance to the RTA base is a sign noting of a Museum inside the base of the time, over 200 years ago, when a Frence Military Detachment was housed inside the base. Visitors are permitted inside the Army base to visit the Museum, which houses maps, story boards, photographs, and displays of both Thai and French soldiers uniforms. The lovely guide who showed me and my family round the museum was very knowledgeable and helpful in putting thinks into conext for us.
