Doi Samer Dao is a breathetaking place. The sky is full of stars. Not too crowd. You should not go too early because there has nothing to do in daytime. The most important thing is there has no electricity. Prepare your battery. And enjoy your shabu!
Natural, quite, serene, fresh air, less crowd.I cannot find more words to describe this scenic place. It is difficult to locate and even our guide, a Thai, has to stopped a few times to ask for direction. The place captured my thoughts. Many such natural places have been ruined by tourists. This place is still a infant and I suggest those who like nature and fresh air, go now.
you want to be near the sky and the stars? you need serenity anr time to think? wanna get away from hastle and stress? then doi ssmer dao is the place you gotta go. its not easy to find but people in the villages on the way to doi samer dao help you. you will find some of the friendliest humans you ever met though english is not always understood. but dant worry to ask. they always understand doi samer dao. its nature pure and a great place to get away from the loud cities. and if you want to stay over night you can rent a tent and enjoy the sunset and the stars in the sky. doi samer dao is a wonderful place to relax and meditate

Such a nice trip that we went to camping at Doi Samer Doi at Sri Nan national park in Nan province. For about the air in the area is filled with fresh air and the surrounding area is very clean.Gazing stars at night in 360 pano lamar and seeing the sea of mist in the morning is the main activities and symbol of this place!For camping and experience the natural beauty and lives in a quiet area is one of the charms of camping.It made us spend a lot of time with ourselves and relax from the chaotic life.For the someone who love to do the outdoor activities “Glamping” is the interesting activity that we recommend.
A short pleasant drive from Nan. Beautiful views on the way up and when you arrive. Visitors wishing to camp have a choice of renting a tent or pitching their own. Facilities are limited; however, there was a handicapped toilet available. There is also a small coffee shop, and my mocha frappe was very good. Mobile phones could be charged in front of the coffee shop, and this was quite popular.The area was clean and orderly. Surprisingly, they even had an ambulance parked and ready in front of the admin building.
Wonderful experience to go camping on the mountain to enjoy excellent views of the night sky – very little light pollution- and mountains. Basic facilities provided, toilets, wash basins, shower, but do not expect a lot of comfort or luxury. Every camp site has some small restaurant for basic food and you can also rent a pot BBQ and order a set of food items to use. Many Thai families and couples come to enjoy the camping, bringing their own tent and equipment or renting on the spot. You can rent a two-person tent on a bamboo platform, with thin mat, thin blanket and pillow. Some light is provided from dusk until 22.30 hrs. It can get chilly at night, so bring sweaters, hat, long trousers and maybe an extra blanket or sleeping bag. You can drive up to the camp sites, after paying admission to the national park, but then on the camp site expect to still walk uphill with all your belongings to the camping plots as you cannot park in the area where the tents are.

We camped at Rai Pah Suk and had a spectacular view for the evening. There is dual pricing at the national park but only 100 baht for foreigners. Best to avoid the weekends if you want the place to yourselves.
