  1. very understated, considering it is hyped as one of the town’s main attractions. check out the contemporary murals on the northside of the temple

  2. This temple is located at the corner in old city, and it takes about 10min from Ya Mo statue. The most interesting features of this temple are buhda in cave. It is really amassing and very mysterious. I strongly recommend to visit it.

  3. As the title suggest it is worth a visit. You will get to see a cave temple within the temple compound itself. Great to visit

  4. The cave the monks built was unlike anything i have seen before. The temple itself was incredible and the grounds well kept.

  5. Definitely impressive and must have cost a vast amount of money. The “cave” is inside a building and made by sticking real stalactites and stalagmites taken presumably from real caves elsewhere. Cannot condone the ethics of this, especially within the context of a temple. The very new viharn is built of beautiful polished pink marble. The interior not yet finished.

  6. I stopped by for a quick/short visit and found this to be a nice temple and worth my time. Took a few photos, and chatted with a friendly monk there.

  7. Wat Phayap is famed for a hall decorated with calcite crystals and travertine rescued from a quarry by the abbot. The effect is very attractive. A display case contains some of the best crystals, though budding geologists might be confused by pieces of corals inserted here and there! Just to the north, the huge ordination hall is worth a visit for its impressive size and architecture, but no cave features here.

  8. vey impressive and calm place. my wife and I visited on a wednesday at about 1.00pm and were the only vidtors, Its inside the old cit walls and one of the most beautiful temples in our opinion. There are no refreshments on site but we were told there were some nearby. The main building houses a gold statue of lord Buddha and there is a secondary rather unique buiding decorated entirely with what seems to be crystals and rock formations taken from a cave, there are also many apparently very old stone carved statues some without head which we understand were unearthed like that. The visit has prompted us to learn more about this beautiful temple. lots a great photos but my IT is not cooperating!

  9. This is a little gem worth visiting. The artificial cave is very eye-catching. The main building is beautiful. Recommended to visit.

  10. Pay to see some Buddhist monk in a man made cave? No thanks, it just does not interest me enough to do that.
