Tham Phu Wa Temple is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Nong Ya, Thailand
Inccrebibly beautiful carvings on temple leading to a deep cave shrine; well worth the time it takes to drive there.
It’s quite a difference experience to visit this temple. Very beautiful and big and unlike most others that I’ve been to. Would recommend if you want to see something grand.
This temple is situate inside of a cave outside from what you see on the outside is new build, but the people using this cave as a temple wat is nice to visit not a must but when you are close to this place have a stop over and take some time to see it. you not see this everyday.
This temple caught me off guard. The exterior is beautifully crafted out of concrete with amazing details. Then you go inside and it’s sitting inside a dramatic cave. Incredible space!
The architecture is beautiful. The area are cleaned and well maintained. Very close to Kanchanaburi City.
Upon arrival, as we came down from our tour bus, we were attracted by the large stone Buddha Statue that sit by the side of the open space carpark. As we walked further, a timber shed flanked by some wooden Buddha statues exude to us a feeling of tranquility and peace.Entry into the temple building is free. Inside the temple, behind the façade is the first altar. From here, as we moved on down the stairs, are 2 huge nicely lit caves complete with stalagmites and stalactites accompanied by many statues of Buddha. The lighting is warm and cozy and conjure up a serene ambience inside the caves. This temple in the cave is clean, well organized with zones for visitors to explore around , making offerings and supplications with lighting candles , self meditating and praying . It has good clean toilet facilities surrounded by plenty of statues in the foreground. It is peaceful and quiet, great escape too to take a rest under the Pagoda from the sunny weather .Whether you are religious or not, making a visit here is a spiritual and worthwhile experience. Do not miss it in Kanchanaburi !!!!
Rather average temple, but if you have some free time or have an all day transport rental, go have a look!
Its not to far from the others worth a look lots of history there you can read on the placards on every building
