  1. The views of the Marine Park islands are spectacular, it’s well worth the climb to get to the view point. It’s part of the day tours that a number of tour companies from Samui have. Less crowded in September and October, when the weather can still be nice. Closed during November and December or when seas are too rough for travel. It’s roughly two hours from Samui as part of the tours to other islands on the trip. It’s a whole different world at the Marine park, well worth going too, as part of your trip to the Gulf Isands. .

  2. Getting up here is quite a struggle as there isn’t much time typically. It is a good 30 mins if you are fit. The views are spectacular.

  3. A lot of stairs, first stop for the Ang Thong National Marine Park tour. Will recommend wearing a grippy shoe, as it can get a bit slippery at some point, but it is d0-able with slippers and barefoot too, as I was practically in slippers lolInterestingly, they put 5 levels with level 5 being the highest. For those super fit, Level 5 can be reached within 10 mins or less??? but with those taking pics at every Level viewpoint, can take more than an hour lol (Pity I did not take my phone camera along…sad lol)Compared to some of the other viewpoints, the walk up and the stairs are reasonably “big”….thus can say this is tourist friendly lol…Very nice view on top, worth the while.

  4. 500 meters of altitude at these temperatures exhausting, but it’s worth it. You should definitely take a small bottle of water with you. And of course, do not forget the Karmera.

  5. Without a doubt the most strenuous walk I have ever completed, we visited the Pha Jun Jaras Viewpoint on a day tour with Samui Island Tour.As I was the only person from our tour walking to the Pha Jun Jaras Viewpoint, I set off at a good pace and it took me 30 minutes to reach the top. You will need a good pair of shoes to complete the walk as the track is very steep and the stones that are concreted into the steps are slippery. There are a few viewing platforms along the walk with great views to have a rest at and think if you should continue on.Once you reach the top you will see it is worth the sweat. It took me 25 minutes to reach the beach and thankfully there is a rope to use as a handrail along the walk otherwise I would of slipped and my legs were sore for a few days.

  6. Must see. Take a camera and if it’s sunny. pack a hat and cover up. Took about 40 mins to get to the top with rest breaks and I’m not fit by any means. Langur monkeys on the way up were amazing too!Definitely make the effort to visit this amazing place.I recommend INSEA Speedboat. Affordable and friendly tour that takes you there.

  7. Worth the climb. 500 meters but didn’t count the steps! Don’t underestimate this climb. Hard as we had flip flop / sliders from day out on boat. Really need trainers. We enjoyed the challenge but not for the faint hearted

  8. Life hack for those who plan to climb to the topmost observation deck: there is a storage room below, you can drop off your things and go light. It’s hard to climb: you have to do it over rocks of different heights. Plus there was no wind at all, and I walked leisurely for a long time. Sweat was running off my baseball cap and I was wondering when, when would I reach the top. And then it happened: the islands of the national park opened before our eyes. Beautiful. If you have the strength, get up.
