Songkhla Zoo Family attractions Can enter the private car There are many activities for children. There is a small hill. For a view of the high angle outside the zoo There are exhibits of the ability of various types of training animals. And still have a water park The shelter is open for a very wide pool and has many players. Is considered a popular tourist attraction
A very big zoo. Some of the bird exhibits are gigantic. Incredible value for price of admission. Very nice care overlooking town.
I been this place last month with my friends it is coverage so big area with may kind of different animals we like this place very much amazing zoo in Thailand !
Havent been to a zoo for sometime now and today brought a family to the Songkhla Zoological Park. After paying the entrance fees and parking fees, you might still have a few adds ons like shows and tram ride. The varieties of animals are ok ~ few highlights includes the Thai Seladang, Hippopotamus, Rhino, White Tiger and White Lion, and Malayan Tapir. There are also enclosure for the birds which was pretty cool. What I like about this zoo is that you can get close to some of the animals and you can do some feeding too.The tram ride are also quite convenient instead of walking the whole zoo.The waterpark located within the zoo is also plus for the kids to keep cool. However the zoo lacks animals, several enclosure contains no animals and the upkeep of the zoo has to be improved.Overall a person pays close to 200b for the entrance, show and tram.
Up on the hill. Some of the animals on display are caged, eg the cute black langurs. Quite sad. Half the bird enclosure was closed for repair works. But the birds were beautiful & seemed happy. You will need to get tram tickets as the areas are not pedestrian friendly. More could be done to make this place a happy one not just for the visitors but most importantly, animals’ living conditions.
For local standards, it is okay with decent shows and some crowd-pleasers like elephants, tigers, monkeys. Quite a few cages were empty but it’s ok for what it is
I have been here twice, but for both sessions, I only went for the animal show. It was ok, but the kids like it. We couldn’t drive our car on the 2nd trip. The train was sufficient but they do not provide proper stop/waiting area. And the train does not stop at the same spot. We need to chase for a space. Some people have even been pushed around. Not suitable for people with less mobility.
Songkhla Zoo is a nice activity for a family especially with young children. They have a wide variety of animals to see, scattered over very large grounds. You can drive between each station because walking would be very far and especially with hot weather it would be exhausting so we took small breaks in the air conditioning of the car when driving slowly small distances like 150-200m between stations. Shortly after the zoo reopened after covid19 it was free to all visitors but they limited the number of guests who could come in, so it was quite nice and not crowded, for social distancing purposes. In normal circumstances I could imagine that it could get quite full and perhaps not as enjoyable as it was for us.
There is a lot of live shows offered daily. We love the tigers show. Children like the penguin show. A huge zoo & suitable for a half day trip
Recommended for a family with young children or teen. the zoo operate daily with live show which is interesting and kids are happy. We got 5 of us. 2 adults and 3,8,9 young children around 1pm local time, Entrance fees 240thb and shows fee are separated, as we go at noon is 2nd half show start 1.30pm, then 2.30pm then 3.30pm children under 3 is free or below certain height. Btw Don’t save that tiny few dollar for live show or else there’s no point to go there because other are not that interesting than the live show. U’ll drive your own car inside the zoo on each of the shows . There are like 3 shows we have seen . 1st is The black bear, birds and then parrot for photo taking upon exit and as well yellow snake which we didn’t do it. Lol Then the 2nd show is the sea seal , they are very AMAZING. Talented. But didn’t see any penguin show but there’s penguin underneath behind the show’s room . 3rd show is tiger feeding. This one is free. Be sure to be there before feeding start else you’ll not see the action from tiger. Also There’s a lot of shop inside the premise were seems closed , maybe Covid… so only get to eat ice cream when we go to the sea seal show. . So if you are going to visit the zoo. BE SURE to go before the time they start the show or else you’ll missed all the important fun. Other part of the The rest of the facilities are currently not well maintained some some broken and some is under construction for new animal, as we visit during FRIDAY there are mostly foreigner visitor…Mostly Malaysian. Few are local ppl .. there are also not many animal on certain area that make it looks like abandoned. Hope there’s some improvement in future for future visit.
