  1. The market is on either side of a river at the waterfront. It is a farmers market rather than a “tourist” market… (I think, of the 1000 or so people there I was the only “farang”..foreigner). with lots of fresh and local delicacies on offer. The town itself is very interesting…they have “Condos for birds!”. Actually huge buildings built just to house swallows/swifts for the Chinese birds nest soup industry.

  2. Very traditional market in a still traditional town that show signs of change. When we visited an old wooden house was being replaced by housing in the market. A wide range of local produce is on sale. We bought a very durable wooden tamarind chopping board for 140 baht. Lots of food and snacks on offer.
