I was nice to see Panonenthung scenic point ,nice view ,and good looking to far ,blue and clear sky, i like this place ,,,,
I loved the vieuw . Long trip bit worth to see . Als spotted some gibbons and butterfly. We took an tour price private for wheel drive 1600 baht ( & 100 baht park for Thai person and 300 baht for faring to visit the park )
At this point you mostly wait after the trekking tour to the Thor waterfall. All ok, but kind of loses its attraction because you are only waiting to be allowed to drive down the quite astonishing road! Do use a 4-wheeler!!!
Took a trip up here by 4×4 pick up cost 2500 baht for up to 10 people arranged by my hotel , The track is really only suitable for 4 wheel drive vehicles only so if you have your own it’s possible, cost is 300 baht per person & 30 baht per vehicle, there is a base camp site with a few nature walking trails & a camp site at the top . driving up you will cross a few small streams this park is full of exotic tropical vegetation, wildlife & insects , avid Bird watchers frequent this place apparently there are excellent guides for this . Great views above the clouds at the summit with a few nature trails , If you are staying in a hotel you will need to leave by 6am as the Road up & down is one way during specific times , please see pics attached with park rules etc .
As of November 2018 the last 20kms of road to the top of the park is closed for rebuilding in concrete. The park ranger office told me it will be closed for “more than 1 year” so expect opening again in 2020. I asked if it can be walked and he said no. You can go to the Bang Kang camp though.
