Definitely not the best beach for swimming and sunbathing. No parking (have to drop the car on the side of the road), dirty sand, dirty water. You should drive back a few minutes and stop near Sofitel, on the Klong Muang beach – it is way better than this “top kek”.
Serenity everywhere, no crowds, peaceful watching of spectacular sunset, calm sea, the cool shade of the almond trees – what more could a tourist want? Being a private beach of the resort that we stayed, we enjoyed the Tubkaek beach to the fullest. We just loved it!!! Having seen the super crowded and noisy Ao Nang beach, this is definitely the place to unwind and spend a relaxing vacation..
We loved Tubkaek and cancelled our plans so that we could spend another day there. It’s quiet, beautiful and quite isolated with just a few resorts with private sections. Parts of the beach can be rocky so you have to watch where you are going. We took bikes but parking might be an issue for some folks. There are a couple of shacks serving drinks and food. If you are looking for quiet time this might be your spot.
while the Krabi beaches are usually very crowded (especially Ao Nang), it gets more quiet once you get to Khlong Muang. And driving just some 5km further, you reach the Tubkaek Beach, with some ressorts with restaurants, but beautiful and quiet. and a wonderful sunset.
Nice beach to watch the sunset with view on hong Islands and ko yao yai and ko yao noi. There are also three Restaurants.
Lovely sandy beach, very quiet with plenty of space to sunbathe in privacy. When the tide goes out in the afternoon thousands of tiny solider crabs emerge to feed – it’s an amazing sight.
This is a beautiful, quiet beach with soft sand, a calm sea with a relatively delicate tide, awesome views of the Andaman Sea islands and best of all, less tourists, but some premium hotels, restaurants and bars and the most stunning sunsets. Highly recommended if you want to venture a little further out of Ao Nang / Krabi Town.
We’re to start start ??? My husband and I came here to honeymoon, we got exactly what we wanted, was about 30+hours travelling but worth it,, stunning location. Stunning sun sets just on the beach, fantastic food and the best friendliest staff we have ever met, I’m a gardener and the planting is fantastic, the pool area amazing, the hotels beach is stunning and very clean , The hotel offers lots of trips by and and boat ,, you have to do a boat trip to hong island just off the hotel beach , go early it gets very busy later in the afternoon, take lots of water and climb to the top of the viewing platform, take your time as it’s quite hard work !!! But well worth it! Take a swim to cool off when you return to the bottom!! You will need it !!! Your on the island above a hour then taken to 2 more small island there just a filler not that good but ok !
About 30-40 mins from ‘town’ the beach has 5 or 6 good but discreet hotels the length of the beach. Scenery is nice looking across the sea and various limestone formations. Beach is quiet caters mainly if not exclusively for those staying there, no music a handful of small boats to and from and no sellers which is a huge plus. Also no beach loungers taking up space just a few along along each hotel perimeter.
Nice, quiet, laid back beach. Good for swimming. Not overcrowded at all. Some restaurants and bars. You can take a trip to Hong Island easily(20 min).
