  1. On the return leg of the journey of a cycle ride, I swung left into the Ratchabak Park – to witness the awesome standing Seven Kings of Siam. As statues go, against a sunset or sunrise, these are a splendour and a half! The Seven Kings of Siam, sounds like a movie. There should be such a series (if there already isn’t). The history of each king is rich and diverse. Thailand is a rich land of freedom and the Thai history has royally shaped the present. These statues stick out far and wide. They’re sighted in a facility for training NCOs. They’re sacred. People come here on pilgrimage. I’d recommend to anyone to have a gander and learn a little history whilst you’re at it.Wear long shorts and cover your legs as required.

  2. This is a memorial park created by the government some years ago located on the outskirts of Hua Hin city. The park features enormous statues of 7 ancient Thailand kings all standing together in a row.

  3. It seems that this place is still being built. At our viist we could see the 7 Kings Monument but there is still a lot of empty stace that looks like it is not finished.

  4. Seven statues of seven Thai Kings, the last three are Rama 1, Rama 4 and Rama 5.You can learn a lot about Thai history.

  5. Not much of interest at this sprawling park, other than the seven towering statues of former Thai kings. The statues make a nice photo silhouetted against the sky. Other than that, mot very interesting unless you are fanatic about Thai history.

  6. Very impressive statues and a bit of written history and that’s it. If you visit knowing this then you won’t be disappointed. It was a cheap taxi ride from Hua Hin and free to enter. We spent half an hour walking and taking photos.

  7. One of our best days was visiting the Kings. We had no idea just how huge they were. We found them absolutely breathtaking and were lucky enough to almost be the only people there. We caught a taxi there and he waited while we looked at the Kings. The bus was free and we can’t describe what a huge space this is. Very moving and interesting day out.

  8. The statues were kind of cool, in the sense that you would see them quite clearly as you drove in, but when you are right in front of them, you’ll realise how huge they are. Absolutely amazing! I was so mesmerised but the traditional wear and somehow the artist managed to make the status look very poised and charming, you could almost feel the pride and royalty of the kings, just staring at them. What was most surprising was the sheer size of the park, that had nothing…. The main attraction was the statues and there was just a really small museum and some souvenir shops. Other than that, it was just sheer park ground (not the sort where you could take a scenic walk or ride). I was so baffled. I guess, when you have the luxury of land area, this is what you do. Oh yes, admission is free! You can drive/take a taxi in and change to the free shuttle service (with a guide and explanations, but in Thai) which will take you up close to the statues. All FOC.

  9. The Siam Statues are absolutely huge and worth a visit. They are slightly outside Hua Hin so, if you don’t have a car, the best way to get there is by Grab (the local version of Uber). The taxi will drop you off at the visitors center where there are a few shops. There is then a regular and free shuttle bus to the statues. They are located in vast square in the middle of the park. You can by drinks and snacks there, take the shuttle bus back to the visitors center and book a Grab back to wherever else you want to go.
