Drove through the bridge while crossing the border to Laos. Nothing special to see. The border crossing was ok, some organizing would make it faster but oh well.. at least they have a small kiosk with snacks.

You exit Thailand through efficient passport control then take a bus across the bridge to the Lao border post. This looked a bit chaotic but in facct worked well. Money change and snack bar.
Our attempts to view this bridge, supposedly built with partly Australian donated funds, was frustrated by the border check point to Laos approximately 5 Km before the bridge. Unless leaving Thailand and going to Laos, we could proceed no further. Not possible to get close enough to view it.

I went for a visa run to extend my visa for another 30 daysOnce through Thai border controle, there is a bus waiting to cross the bridge. Once on the Laos side It was so easy and quick.
