  1. There are many “floating markets” outside of Bangkok, but if you want authentic, then this is the one. The other markets sell lots of “junk,” but here it is all local goods. The food is some of the best that we had on our trip. If you are looking for “authentic” and want to capture those memories easily on a camera or phone, then this is the place. We came here on a Saturday am and arrived close 9:00 am. It took close to two hours by car due to the traffic leaving Bangkok. Plan accordingly.

  2. There a number of floating markets all throughout Thailand and the Tha Kha market is a nice one to visit. It has become more geared to tourists, with English signs in the vendors boats advertising what they are selling but it is still a worthwhile experience. Have some of the amazing fried bananas or coconut ice cream with a variety of colorful toppings. Be prepared to barter for your purchases.

  3. It is another floating market community at suburb of Bangkok. There is a place that produce the homemade coconut sugar, went there and bought 2, then found out that the floating market around selling a lot cheaper.

  4. It’s very small market and most of products are sold directly from gardeners/farmers. They aime to sell more to locals, instead of tourists so the prices are really cheap even for me as a local. You can find real coconut sugar from here with very cheap price, also shallots, garlic and dry chilli. The fresh fruits and vegetables mostly are also directly from the gardens. The market is quiet and peaceful (if you don’t count local who enjoy to show their voice and sing along karaoke music). The boat tour is a bit touristic but compare to Damnoen Saduak it’s much better. I highly recommend to do it here.If you want to support local ecosystem rather than tourist trap, go there! 🙂

  5. We arrive to this place with a lot of exception, we got crouded place, a lot of noise, polution from the boats and we waited until the trip will end. It’s boring place without any special things to see.

  6. Just a market with people selling on boats . But you can only buy on land . They do not row over to you . So u pack your food and then eat on the boat which you only see canals along the way . Quiet and boring . Just go to the touristy market who sell things on the boat to you . More variety .

  7. We visited them based on Bolt driver recommendations, figured out it’s just a scam. Starting with ticket prices are not decisive and trying to fool people. The place is extremely dirty and shops are just a scam. Even the driver was fooling us directing us to his relatives.Extremely bad communication as if dealing with gangs. Don’t do it

  8. Hmmm. Tourist trap just waiting to take your money. 1 hr trip cost us 2000Thb. You are taken on the boat to shops selling the usual tourist rubbish. Also tried to sell us elephant rides! Uh no. That’s wrong. Go to the train market not far away. Free, much better
