The mosque is located quite near to the floating market, about 10 mins drive so you can drop by here before the floating market. It is a functional mosque – prayers are still held there for anyone who’s wondering. Very very grand exterior and interior of the prayer hall – the size of the entire place, high ceilings, shiny floor. But perhaps more could be done for some areas like the washroom. Prayer hall located at level 2 if you come from the carpark. There’s a minimart and a stall selling some food and drinks at the basement as well. Great area outside to take many photos. We came across some sheep outside during our visit!
The grand mosque of Songkhla..stands great and everyone must not missed and must make a visit here…
Frankly speaking, u can visit it at any time of the day. But I proposed, get there after asar for sunset time Lapse. We can get some kind (ala-ala) of reflection pool of Taj Mahal & Angkor Wat.After praying Magrib (early evening prayer) head up to Khlong Hae Seafood Buffet (halal restaurant which missed out from TripAdvisor) which is located along the way back to city. The Central Mosque iin the Songkhla Province – dubbed Thailand’s Taj Mahal. It sits halfway along the main highway connecting Hat Yai and Songkhla city. The modern monument, inspired by classical Mughal architecture, boasts a symmetrical design with a central gold dome atop a large square building flanked by four detached minarets overlooking a large rectangular water feature.
I’m amazed at the beauty of this place!!! The mosque has a very peaceful surroundings and the tranquil atmosphere
Also known as the Taj Mahal in Hatyai;this is a beautiful mosque. So peaceful and the view is beautiful.
Nice building, but nothing inside, just an empty shell. Wish i could see some decoration. No one inside seems not too popular
Nice big Muslim Mosque situated at Hatyai. Suitable place to visit by Muslim Tourist. Peaceful surroundings. Not much activities can be done here, other than photographic.
Beautiful place if go during sunset. Place is not big. Can feed fish at the pond in front of mosque.
An amazing structure and a great place of worship. I had my wedding photos taken here by a family friend and I was amazed at how clean, nice and inviting the Mosque has to offer.
