Wat Khiriwong is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 18 Matulee Rd Pak Nam Pho, 60000, Thailand
one of the rare places to see . you can walk until the top of the hill , the distance is not so long To arrive ther take a local songtiaw for 10/baths
Difficult to find and a steep drive up there. But it is a beautiful pagoda where you experience the real buddhism: monks are present and pray and talk to the people. Definitely worth a visit.
It is not an interesting place itself but when you get there just follow the road to the top of hill and you got a pretty good view to the Nakhon Sawan city.
Beautiful temple and gorgeous views onto the city in all directions. Definitely worth the trip up the winding road, and highly recommended.
Wat Kiriwong is located on top of Dawa Dung Mountain, Nakhon Sawan. It has a sacred golden pagoda – Prajulamanee pagoda. On the fourth floor of pagoda, you will see the awesome scenery of Nakhon Sawan province
It’s a nice trip on top of a small mountain the monks are awesome and friendly take the time to calm down there.
Just your usual temple and statues with monks here and there, one advantage of this attraction is that it takes in a panoramic view of the whole of NSawan you can see miles on a clear day
I found after visiting many other temples in Thailand that this one is much easier to navigate if your mobility is not what it should be,you can drive your car basically to within 50 metres of front of temple ,it also has 360 deg view of Nakhon Sawan
Nakhon Sawan is a friendly, slow-paced Thai country town which is pleasant to spend time in. However, its sights tend towards the minor and marginal. One you probably should experience is Wat Khiriwong, a modern Buddhist temple set on a hilltop behind the centre of town. There was little of architectural merit which we could discern, but it has the best views in town, looking out over a mixture of cityscapes and green, boggy wetlands. Come up here to enjoy the views.
We got a taxi to the top where we explored, we went on a Monday so there weren’t many shops or places for food/drink when we got there(only place was in the observation tower). The temple gives incredible views of Nakhon Sawan and surrounding areas. The viewing tower cost 20 baht per person but the temples is free to look around.
