Excellent school, I couldn’t choose a better open water course. The dive master instructor Luca has been great, patient and clear in explanations. During the dives we saw an incredible marine world between turtles, sharks and octopuses. Wonderful experience in heavenly places for diving
Absolutly one of the top divebases i’ve ever been around the world. Super sympatic guides, top high-quality equipment, perfect and pragmatic organisation and very tasty lunch on the boat. We were diving with Petra and we felt save and comfortable all the time with her!
Just had a day diving with these guys in Phi Phi a d had great experience. Right from the pickup to drop off they looked after my day.I was diving with Andrea and he was a great guide and lovely guy. We dived Maya Corner and mushroom Rock and although sharks were shy and stayed away, the two sites were lovely to dive with loads of beautiful soft corals and the usual reef I habitants. We also had a couple of turtles along the way.The food at lunch on the boat was really tasty and there was plenty of soft drinks/water to keep us hydrated.All in it was a great day and if I was staying any longer would certainly not hesitate to go again with this team.
If you want someone who is both knowledgeable about the local dive sites and patient and friendly to dive with, I can strongly recommend Orn at Sea Gypsy Divers. We were a small group of 3 quite experienced divers and did 4 dives in 2 days and Orn was superb in managing the trip and finding quiet spots during a busy holiday period. She was especially good at finding hidden sea creatures such as sea horses. Thanks also for sending the photos afterwards. I will be back!
My 16 yr old daughter took her open water with the wonderful Orn. I felt totally relaxed leaving her in Orn’s very capable hands. Very organised, great fun, and determined that we got the most of our time diving. Several different dive sites, great skipper, lovely food. I thoroughly enjoyed my pleasure dives and would recommend to all.
Juanita from Colombia was a great trainer and she could even teach me my Open Water Course in Spanish! The admin and transfers in Ao Nang were always smooth and fast and the siving equipment was good, so I would recommend this diving school.
I made three diving trips with the Sea Gypsy Divers colleagues during my holiday in Ao Nang. The three of them were really good. The SGD’s staff is warm and friendly, something that makes diving even funnier and more interesting. After the two initial divetrips with them, I managed to convince my friends to try scuba diving with them for the first time. They were all fascinated with the experience and the treatment from the staff, something crucial for a first time down the water.Thank you all for this amazing experience! Incredible experience.We are delighted that we chose Sea Gypsy for our Open Water Padi course, they are fab.Before we went to Thailand they sent us the link for the theory part of the course as well as very informative and cool videos to contextualise the learning.In Thailand, our instructors Andrea and Petra could not have been better.Day 1 was in a shade covered pool, where we learned all the required drills and gained confidence of breathing under water.The next two days were amazing. We went to remote islands by boat and did 4 dives, where we saw the most incredible corals and tropical fish. Sharks included…Andrea and Petra are absolute professions but they have a nack for making it fun. We learned the buddy system but Andrea and Petra always made sure everything was safe and correct.I cannot wait to dive again. Great job Sea Gypsy.
Took me a while to do this review since we came back from Thailand cause life, but I would not skip it since these guys really deserve it.After a lot of research trying to choose one Center to do our scuba diving when there in Nov/2024, I decided go with SGD. We had an absolutely amazing experience! From start to finish, everything was well-organized by Andrea. The equipment was in excellent condition, and the dive sites were breathtaking.A special shoutout to our Instructor (I think her name was “ON”), who went above and beyond to ensure we felt safe and confident throughout the dives, she was very patient with my wife. I highly recommend this center for its world-class service and exceptional instruction. I can’t wait to come back!”. So sad we didn’t get Certified with them!
Had a great time diving with Sea Gypsy. We went diving 3 days in a row. Once to the local islands and twice to Phi Phi. It is a very well run and organised team. Pick up and drop off always on time. Dive masters great, boat crew really wonderful. Provide plenty of food, including a great Thai style cooked lunch, water the whole trip. Wonderful diving, great marine life. Provide sea sick tablets if needed. Our dive master Om was great. Very experienced and showed us so much. Recommend bringing a jumper/ something warm for between dives. Breeze can make it chilly. Thank you to the entire team. Definitely recommend and will use again.
