Four of us played this course and really enjoyed it. It was well maintained and had some very attractive holes with nice landscaping and water features. The caddies were excellent. Go on sport day, Tuesday, to save a bunch of money.
Nice golf course, but that would be about it. Nothing that would etch a lasting impression upon your memory. For a golfing trip, it would suffice as one of the courses you have played, but it would not make you rush to buy a souvenir t-shirt to remember it by.
I tried to phone the numbers listed on the site and got no answer and only messages in Thai which I obviously did not understand. There was no way to book on their website. I even sent an email with my mobile number requesting someone contact me so I could make a booking. But nothing! A local told me to just turn up as I was a single player and they are usually quiet. No! they are super busy and would not fit me in even though they had groups of twos and threes going out. So I asked if I could make a booking for the next day or the day after but they would not because I was a single. They said I would have to wait to see if some twos or threes would allow me to join them. What a load of nonsense. I’ve never been at a course where the players are allowed to decide who joins them. I complained and asked to see the General Manager but I got one of the booking ladies from the pro shop who could obviously not make any decisions. Worse still is they play in groups of 5 also. I told them that I would never play a Santiburi course as a result of their stupid and discriminatory policies.
Santiburi Golf Course did not disappoint. Condition was good, caddies excellent and overall a good golfing experience. Drinks were available around the course. The course is a good design and will continue offer a good time. Pricing was reasonable. Locker room s were good. My pick in This area.
I am so angry at how this golf course is run and by who gets to tell you that one person cannot play and a 2some or a 3some can deny you from playing in their group,I ask the two pesons in the pro shop to show me the rules where a 2some or 3some had the right to deny me to play in their group,After showing me the rules, she said that there was no such rule,,but they still could deny me to play in their group. If the course was up for sale,3 persons,,,the starter and the 2 persons in the pro shop would be fired on spot for not interpreting the rule correctly and causing the golf course to lose money for each time a single comes in and is not allowed to join a 2some or a 3some.My hotel set this up for me and I questioned their booking me at Santiburi and was told not a problem….After sitting around for 2 hours …I decided to leave and go to another golf course. Now I am angry at the golf and the staff in my hotel for putting me through this pain and agony….The hotel and this golf course is clueless about what is going on and how a business is supposed to be run.I have had enough of both of them and they both have lost what could have been a good relationship between customer and business…Can anyone figure this out?Do the owners know that this is happening and that when it does happens that they are losing money?
– Course is just beautiful, well kept and right amount of hazards and difficulty to keep you engaged- Caddies were fine and some maintenance work at the moment around certain greens and fairways but really it’s fine- I read some reviews about how they refused players who are non-members or playing by themselves, what I did was I got referred to the members group and they took care of me, you can google them “Santiburi Members and Friends”- Food in the clubhouse was fine, green curry and spring rolls delicious- Standard tip for caddie is 300 bhat apparently- Highly recommend!
Pretty flat but good layout. Maintenance is good and play was kept interesting. Relatively near to the city too!
