10 thoughts on “Runway Street Food

  1. Food street market ..near a huge airplane which I don’t know from where it’s came ..The market has plenty of food and fresh juices and also clothes shops. …

  2. The cool thing about Runway Street Food is the full Boeing 747 parked on site — thus the name “Runway Food Street.” Visitors can gawk at the huge plane while sampling a wide range of local delicacies. I enjoyed some great grilled pork.

  3. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a Boeing 747 parked in the middle of the street food area and it’s really really hard to miss even from the road, especially Pattaya Sai Song. This place is a real street foodie heaven. There are some non-food stalls such as massage, fish spa, souvenir and even some domestic items, but the vast majority are food stalls. Most are Thai dishes and East Asian dishes. Sadly, there aren’t that many choices for vegetarians and 2 or 3 visits would be enough to sample the veggie options. Meat eaters could eat here for a week and still have something new to try.

  4. I did add this place in my checklist before visiting Thailand, and after I checked-in at the hotel in Pattaya, I visited this place at night. The plane is definitely unmissable and the whole area was light up! A great place for foodies like me ?

  5. This is a night market where you can eat and shop under a real airplane. It’s not a large market like Jodhpur in Bangkok, but it’s enough for a little shopping and food! It’s rare to see an airplane so close, so the kids were surprised and happy. The Moo Ping skewers we had here were delicious. I visited twice during my stay in Pattaya, and the first time was on a Sunday so there were many shops, but the second time, some shops were closed on weekdays. The toilets are a bit expensive at 10 baht per person and quite far away, but it was an interesting market.

  6. A must visit. It is one of its kinds where most of the visitors will be awe-struck with the giant 747 parked with its full skin and metal. The jumbo has its landing gears, wings, flaps, rudder and vertical stabilizer etc still in tact so it will give a feel of the real plane on the apron. There are lots of food options in veg & non-veg items. There are crocodile heads, insects etc for the platter. There are clothing, jewellery and souvenir shops too. The rates are 10 to 20% higher than regular rates, this is what i felt. May be it is because of the rent they have to pay for their stalls. But overall a great time to visit. It opens at around 4 pm in the evening and goes on till 11 pm. The ambience is great to visit with friends, family or solo

  7. A good place to understand a multilingual and multi-ethnic tourist city. Locals rarely eat dinner here. Center!!! Mostly tourist people. That’s why prices aren’t the lowest. Lots of different fruits. Abundant local cuisine, Southeast Asian cuisine. Delicious.

  8. Cool spot for food, drinks, clothes, jewelry, trinkets and live music. When was the last time you sat next to a full size 747 plane whilst having a bite? The food here was quite good, and at a reasonable price, there was a number of stalls to choose from offering a wide variety of the local cuisine. The live music however was a bit on the monotone side, and this is something we found at quite a number of places, where the live music was not as lively as it could have been. Apart from that anyone would find this a really good spot to hang out.

  9. I saw the plane from the Gravity lounge at the top of Siam, so decided to check it out. It’s large sized market, offering food, stalls offering tourist knick-knacks, clothes and accessories. They is also a stage at the far end away from the street, where on this occasion there was a young female artist singing western covers. They have parked a plane in the middle, which is a waste as serves no purpose. As far as I can tell you can’t access it so no selfies in the cockpitEffectively the same as any other night food market wit the exception it has a plane. Lots on offer to eat. I ate some gyoza. There was a stall selling durian up to 3KG.If you are in Pattaya for a week, probably worth stopping here for a pitstop in the evening.
