Really cool bar – over the Big Buda side of the island. Great part of Koh Samu when Chaweng is to hectic!I have had a few good sessions in this establishment and hopefully more to come. Great bar to socialise,chill and watch sport (with or without hangover)!!Watch out for the host because he’s always got a long story!lol! – but really good guy with lost of information about Thailand and Koh Samui.Pool table, cold beer and good WIFI.
when in bophut you must get to the jolly roger bar…its the perfect place to hide when the mrs goes shopping,or to prepare yourself for the friday night forced route march through fishermans village. whatever sport you are into,roger will have it on..roger is a portsmouth supporter,so is not particularly ‘jolly’ when you mention how well southampton are doing…fair enough really…so i tried to not mention it more than 9 or 10 times a day…great bar if you like a ‘larf’.
Awesome bar right by the pier. It’s small with 2 TV’s where the owner (Roger) plays all your favorite sports. There was some soccer matches on. Roger only sells drinks, but he can order you food from next door and they will deliver it to you. Roger is great and offered up suggestions on where to go and the best places to eat and sightsee. I love that there was a good mix of travelers and locals. Great drinks and great conversations.
Awesome bar right by the pier. It’s small but Roger looks after you. He has Two Rooms you can stay in as well.
stayed here for a week while waiting to meet some friends,clean and comfortable room at a great price, made to feel at home by roger who is full of local knowledge and happy to help with any thing you need.would recommend this place to anyone on their first visit to ko samui.,
Always a pleasure to visit Roger. He is always ready with a beer (or several :-)) and good advices – If you are looking for a motorbike (scooter) be sure to rent it with Roger who even might admit a discount if you rent on longtime terms. CU
You can’t go wrong for a place to stop and have a beer/vodka/rum/or all of the above than the Jolly Roger. The owner is always on hand with witty banter and sporting critique (especially cricket, but sometimes a little skewed in its Anglicised accuracy!)Stop y and buy the “Jolliest” person I met in Bangrak a nice ice cold Chang!!
